Sacred Hymns to the Holy Sandals of SADGURU, composed by Sri Adi Sankaracharya
1. Let us salute the Padukas (sandals) of the Preceptor
(Guru), which bestow upon us devotion to the preceptor and supreme detachment which act as a ship that
takes us across the endless ocean of birth and death.
2. Let us salute the Padukas of the Preceptor, which act
as the moon to the ocean of ones poetic prowess, and
also as a cluster of dense clouds that extinguish the fire
of ones misfortunes which destroy the difficulties of
those devoted to them.
3. Let us salute the Padukas of the Preceptor, by worshipping which, the poorest of the poor become supremely wealthy in this life and even a dumb person
becomes a great orator.
4. Let us salute the Padukas of the Preceptor, which destroys all our attachments and desires, and which fulfills
the aspirations of those that bow to the preceptor.
5. Let us salute the Padukas of the Preceptor, which
shine like (a pair of) fish in the river of effulgent gems
that adorn the crowns of kings (who bow before them)
and which grant kingship to those who salute them.

6. Let us salute the Padukas of the Preceptor, which act

as a row of many suns that destroys the darkness of
ignorance and as the Lord of eagles that slays the serpents of sufferings (three types) and which become the
fire that dries up the ocean of diseases.
7. Let us salute the Padukas of the Preceptor, which
have the glory of granting the six qualities (that qualify
an aspirant to pursue the spiritual path), which are
bound by the pledge to grant the state of Samadhi (the
highest state of Divine communion) that which causes
Liberation and bestows unwavering devotion to the feet
of the Lord.
8. Let us salute the Padukas of the Preceptor which
fulfill all the aspirations of those who worship them at
all times and which are the first among those that grant
us pure joy and help, and which are worthy of worship
since they bestow upon us purity of thought.
9. Let us salute the Padukas of the Preceptor, which are
like the eagles for the serpents (six inner enemies) led
by desire, and grant us the treasure of discrimination
and detachment and bestow upon us wisdom and
liberation.

I am only the dust of HIS feet

A
s I have no i, my powers emerge
and fill the Space. This is cosmic energy, my Cosmic Divine feelings. For those
who know me, not doubting who I am, this
cosmic energy helps them. This cosmic
energy is my feelings of gratitude. As I have
learned lessons from everyone and everything in this world, I want to show my gratitude. I am asking for Universal Liberation.
This is how I express my feelings of gratitude to all.
The powers of my penance pervade everywhere. For those who fully believe in me,
this power goes to them and helps them. I
cannot do anything directly for people. If I
did, it would reveal my power outside. I do
not want to reveal my powers myself. If I
were to do this, crowds would gather
around me. I do not want a crowd, name and
fame. I am only an instrument, Swamis instrument. Whatever He wants, I do. I do not
want all these powers and so I push them
away. They fill the Space. My only desire is
Universal Liberation and attaining Swami.
The powers that emerge from me are for
world liberation. Here there is no need for
me to do anything. Everything happens by
itself.
I am not. If I have i, only then can I act out
of my will. As I have no i, I am not aware if I
have powers or not. I only know one thing
and that is Swami. Only Swami. I do not
know anything. I promise I do not know anything. He tells me to write. I write something. I am nothing. I am nothing, I am nothing. I am only the dust of His feet. As I am
writing this, I cannot continue. I am crying
and cannot write. I am crying and crying. I
cannot bear my feelings. Why have I written

all this? What is the use? Will it give me my Swami? I am not able
to write further.
Meditation
Vasantha: Swami I do not know how to continue.
Swami: Why are you crying like this? Your gratitude feelings are all
pervasive. It helps those who pray intensely.
Vasantha: Swami I cannot write I am not, I am not.
Swami: Do not cry. By telling I am not, I am not, only You are all.
You have become Me.
Vasantha: I do not want anything. I want You only.
End of meditation
I do not want anything. My body is here. I am writing, translating
and reading the chapters in satsang. People come and go.
My mind though is only fixed on Swami.

Power of Divine Dust

nce Amma had sent me and my wife on a Divine

Mission to Prashanthi Nilayam. We boarded the
train and were seated on the side berth facing each
other. Our hearts were filled with Ammas love and
feelings & gratitude. We were reading Ammas books
and having satsang. We did meditation at 12 noon in
the train. After the meditation, we continued our
reading.
In the book, in a Divine Conversation between Swami
and Amma, Swami was telling that Amma is the power
behind Him. She is Prakriti. She is the universal force.
For which Amma was humbly denying and saying
that she is only the dust at His Lotus feet and nothing
else. We prayed a while after this conversation. My
wife was telling, See, how humble Amma is! Even
though She is the Mother of this Universe, Adi Parashakthi Herself, She doesnt accept any praise and
just wants to remain as the dust at His Lotus Feet.
I guess, Swami wanted to show us how powerful Amma is, even if She remains in the form of dust at His
Lotus Feet through a big miracle Just a few seconds
after my wifes telling that, something very
forcefully hit the closed window from outside the
moving train. It hit with such a great force and sound,
that the entire coach shook. There was so much fine
dust on my wifes seat. The moment we saw the dust,
we knew it is our Dear Lords Leela. We both were
withdrawn deep inside ourselves, with reverence and
awe, touching His Lotus Feet in gratitude, while the
other passengers were in a state of shock hearing the
sound and seeing so much dust on our seat.

After thanking Bhagawan, we decided to open the

opened the windows, our eyes fell on a JCB Truck

came as a proof to His handiwork. We cleaned the

to half-a-sheet of the newspaper.
After reaching the Bangalore station, we rushed outside the train to see the impact of the Divine Thunderbolt. But alas! Nothing was there. Bhagawan just
proved to us that Amma is the power behind Him but
She prefers to hide Herself under His Lovely Lotus

She is on the Highest Seat

Mother Radhas deep impression brought Swamis avatar

adha was in a state of Oneness. She performed Atma Nivedhan by seeking and merging with Krishna in every part of Creation. In her last moments, Krishna came to her and she left her body while lying on His lap talking
with Him and listening to His flute. She left the world with Krishnas sparshan,
darshan and sambashan; her last moments became a deep impression. Maya
Krishna played a trick. If she had left her body in a state of Atma Nivedhan, she
would have merged with Krishna completely in her final moments. Why did
Krishna come to her in her final moments? Why when she was already in a state
of Oneness? Why should He bestow sparshan, darshan and sambashan on her?
He came in order to trick her into being born again.
I always aspire for Sai Krishnas sparshan, darshan and sambashan because I
am born with Radhas deep impressions. He makes me yearn, thirst and cry for
His darshan, sparshan and sambarshan. Thus, wisdom is revealed, the Sathya
Yuga dawns and the boon of Universal Liberation is granted.
Let me not whine,
When the world is mine
Let there not be fear
When God is here
Godhead is ruling
And it is showing
The world is a place
Not to fight a case
Its a place to love
To care, To share
To be what you are
Share, Love, Care
Love All
Live in harmony
Live in Love
When Amma is here
There is no need to fear!
The world is at Her Feet
She is on the Highest Seat
The world is at Her Feet
She is my all-in-all

Radha was One with Krishna; There was no need to be born again. This is all
His master plan. The Lord was bound to take Avatar in Kali Yuga; Radhas tears
and feelings of separation were needed for His advent. This is why Sri Krishna
came in her last moments and bestowed His darshan, sparshan and sambashan. She was born with these deep impressions and brought the Sathya Sai
Avatar.
Two forms are needed to experience sparshan, darshan and sambashan. If two
merge and become one, then how to experience? There can be no sparshan,
darshan and sambashan. This is why Krishna is born as Sathya Sai and Radha is
born as Vasantha Sai; both suffer pangs of separation.
Sathya Yuga and Prema Sai Avatar are coming due to the yearning of
separation.

Meditate on the Lord!

The Greatest Guru Dakshina

here are no limitations of time or space for the establishment of oneself in the contemplation of the Omni-

present Lord. There is nothing like a holy place or a special

time. Wherever the mind revels in contemplation of the
Divine, that place is holy! Whenever it does so, that moment becomes the auspicious moment! Ancient sages and
scriptures also revealed to us that for meditation on God,
there is no fixed time or place. Hence anytime and anywhere your mind desires, meditate on the Lord! The world
he best Guru Bhakti is to love all, to be kind
and compassionate towards all and never hurt
any living creature - to try as much as possible to
benefit life around us, to be good, do good, and to
serve, so that out of us only good comes, only help
comes, only service comes, only usefulness. All that
is positive, creative, constructive, auspicious, good,
beautiful - that only should come to all life around us,
all Gods creation, through our thoughts, words and
actions. Anything that is negative, anything that is
destructive, harmful or injurious should never come.
Become an embodiment of kindness, compassion
and doing good to others. This is the greatest guru
dakshina (gift to the Guru) also. This is the hallmark
of discipleship.
~ Swami Chidananda

I consider all as my Gurus

have one particular guru: every person, each & everything.
Both the living and non-living are my gurus. This is because
I learned lessons from all. Sarva jeeva Namaskaram Kesavam Prati
gachchhati -- Whomsoever you salute, it reaches God.
When we offer our Namaskarams to all jeevas, it goes to God. In
the same way, when you insult or ignore anyone, it also goes to
God. In the morning when I awake, I tell my Namaskarams to all
jeevas. This goes to God. Though, many have threatened & scolded
me, wounding my heart, I never retaliate or insult anyone. I bear
all patiently. It is only I who cry & cry, asking for their forgiveness. When I see them in person, I asked them to forgive me.
For those who are away from me, I pray for them. I consider all
as my gurus.
~ Amma

can achieve prosperity only through disciplined souls

whose hearts are pure; they represent the salt of the earth.
In an attempt to promote the welfare of the world, from this
very minute, everyone should pray for the advent of the
noble and holy, and try to deserve the blessings of the
great. Every day you retire, recall these thoughts, and try
to forget the sufferings of the day.
~ Swami

Choose to be STRONG
You are afraid
To be strong
You are tempted
To be weak
And in a moment
Of weakness
You earn
A lifetime of fears
Choose to be strong!
There is nothing
That cannot be done
If you are committed to the right
way and
Always bend to obey Gods
will

Yoga Sutra
the ninth chapter of the Gita,
verse 27 Krishna declares:

ple way. I have written so all can understand. Victory to Yogeshwara Sai
Krishna! Whoever reads this may
practice as I have. Then you will realize this is:

O son of Kunthi, whatever you do,

whatever you eat, whatever you offer
in sacrifice, whatever you bestow as
a gift, whatever you do by way of
penance, offer it all to me.

Jaga Mey Sarvam Vishnu Mayam

Sad Guru Sri Sathya Sai Mayam

What Krishna declared, I have done

in my life. Whatever I do, eat, every
action I connect with God. This is
yoga. It is only now I understand.
Sleeping is yoga.

There will be no place or thing

where God is not
Sad Guru Sathya Sai is everywhere
in everything

Ananyascinthayantho maam ye janah paryupasathe

Tesham nityabhiyuktanam yogakshemam Vahaamyaham.
To those men who worship Me alone, thinking of
no one else, Who are ever devout, I provide gain
and security.
Here Krishna tells that He provides
all, so that they may attain God. This
means that when one performs
sadhana to attain God, God protects
him, so he may do sadhana. Kshema
means our protection. Yoga is to be
provided with what we do not have
and need. In the same way, I performed Ananya Bhakthi without
stopping, so it became yoga.
How did I begin this training? I sat in
a room and connected all things I
saw with God. When I saw the door, I
thought it is the gateway of mukthi, I
must go through it. When I saw the
chair, I said it is Gods seat. I gave
my heart as Gods seat. Seeing the
pillar reminded me that Narasimha
Avatar emerged from a pillar. Seeing the swing reminded me of Radha
and Krishna. Seeing a book made
me think of the Vedas. When I saw
the tumbler, I thought, I must drink
Sai Rasam from it'. When I saw the
pillow, I felt it is not a dam for the

head, but a way to dam the

thoughts. I saw the bed and thought
'I will tie God, the one who cannot be
tied'. Seeing the window, I felt God is
seen through the window of my
heart. To the breeze coming through
the window, I said, Oh wind, have
you brought a message from God for
me?
I looked out of the window and saw a
man passing. In my mind I said, O
man where are you going, leaving
God? It is in this way I connected all
with God, going from room to room.
The mind then began to connect all
with God, on its own accord. It is only now I realize that what I practiced
was all yoga.
'O Yogeshwara, O Sai Prabhu, how many truths
You revealed in Your Radhas life'?
I only know as He has shown. Why
did I have this habit to connect all
with God? This is for me to write and
explain to all what yoga is in a sim-

It is in this way I trained my mind to

see doors and windows as God. This
is Yath Bhavam Tat Bhavathi, as I
thought so it has become. Now all
feelings I connect with God and now
God connects all with me. The mind,
which connected the door with God,
has now connected God with my life
fully. It is through this that Swami
showed my marriage and family life
also connected to God. First, I
trained myself to connect all with
Swami. Now God connects all with
me. At the time of building the Stupi,
we consulted the nadi for temple
construction. It declares that we
should collect sand from 25 holy
places including Puttaparthi, Benares, Ayodhya, etc and put them in
the foundation. At that time, a lady
from Puttaparthi gave me a sari. As
usual I wrote Swamis mantra inside.
When we looked later, we saw
strange soft golden sand inside. The
sand was golden. When I asked Swami, He said it was heavenly sand,
Vaikunta sand. In this way, Swami
connected Himself with our task of
collecting sand. When we connect
ourselves with God, He then connects Himself to us. This is yoga.
Now, it is understood.
Oh, is this Yoga Sutra?
