Editing Symbols for Correcting Grammatical Errors

Refer to the following symbols as you edit your paper:

VT = verb tense future, past, present, perfect, etc.


WF = word form noun, adjective, adverb, verb
F = fragment an incomplete sentence missing subject or verb
RO = run-on sentence too many subjects and verb in one sentence
SV = subject verb agreement third person singular, plural subject,
etc.
PN = pronoun noun agreement
G = gerund
INF = infinitive
WC = word choice use a different word, but not a different word
form
PREP = preposition (at, for, to, from, with, etc.)
