About the project

VEP Program

The Project Make the change you(th) want to see was

In order of developing a dialog and mutual understanding,

people from Serbia and Kosovo need to work together on
different joint projects and initiatives. Regarding to that,

created with the aim of establishing conditions for continuous

cooperation in the field of incensement of understanding and
reconciliation between communities, improved cross border
links between civil society organizations and the increment of
youth mobility in Serbia and Kosovo.
Pilot initiative considers establishment of exchange program
where young people from Serbia and Kosovo could go on
volunteer exchange in the host organization and work
together on joint ideas and initiatives.

will have personal and public effect where, in the first sense,
young volunteer will get a clear picture of the situation in the
field and the opportunity to decide of potential activities to be
initiated. As for the public, those young people will spread
their positive experience and thus try to break the stereotypes
in their communities and become creators of the
reconciliation idea.

VEP Program is the first phase and considers two months

exchange for six activists/volunteers from Serbia and Kosovo,
three volunteers from Kosovo who will stay in Serbia (Eastern
Serbia, Bor) and three volunteers from Serbia who will stay in
Kosovo (Peja/Pec).

Since its establishment in 1999 NGO Syri i Vizionit has

intervened with around 100 project in various sectors of the
society, including: societys democratization, peace-building,
promotion of human rights, civil society empowerment,
monitoring of institutions, economic development, urban
mobility, social dialogue, networking with other organizations,
etc. that are implemented with activities of the organization
and through networks with partners..

Mission statement & Values

Syri i Vizionit aims to promote local democracy and
participation of Kosovo people. In its continuous efforts for
democratic practices Syri i Vizionit gave a special role to
promotion of good governance, accountability, transparency
and public participation in decision-making.

WHO CAN APPLY?

Help host organisation in their program and project

activities

The call is open for volunteers and activists of civil society

organizations (NGOs) from Serbia and Kosovo.

HOW TO APPLY?
If you are interested in participating in the exchange program
you should do the fallowing:
Fill in and send the attached Application Form
Send your CV with last updates
Send at least one recommendation letter (from sending
organization authorities or associates/partners you have
worked with)

NOTE:
All costs are covered by the organizers. Participants
will be accommodated together. Travel costs will be
reimbursed 100% (fuel or tickets). Participants will
have monthly allowance during their stay.
