...so early on Saturday morning I flew to Paris and I had lunch with
Sarah. Then we went an art exhibition in the afternoon. We meet
Chris for dinner, but we didn't go to the Tango Club because we
were too tired. On Sunday morning I was buy a birthday present
for Mum, and then for lunch we had a picnic by the river.
Unfortunately, in the afternoon it rained, so we didn't take a boat
cruise on the river. You know I love cooking, so I made dinner in
Sarah's apartment and then I caught the late flight home.

He loved singing, and in 1945 he won a school singing competition. He
also taught himself to play the guitar.

Hi Tony:
I'm in San Francisco now. We arrived here yesterday. Before that, we
were ten days in New York. It was wonderful. Paula and I visited a lot of
interesting places, including the Empire State Building. We climbed to
the top - it was very high and we were both really excited to be there. We
took a boat down the river to see the Statue of Liberty. We went
through Greenwich Village and watched many artists at work. The
paintings weren't expensive, so I bought one. We also went to the
theatre and saw a musical - I thought it was fantastic, but Paula didn't
like it very much. The weather was OK - a bit wet sometimes. But now
here in San Francisco, it's hot and sunny. Love, Elena (and Paula).
