Jose Poulose Has Many Years of Experience as a

Healthcare Professional

Jose Poulose is a well-qualified medical professional with many years of experience


in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Medicine. He has practiced in many different
areas of the world and has helped many people by providing the best medical
facilities. He did his Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Cardiology at Winthrop University
Hospital in Mineola, and in NY. He completed his residency and internship in Internal
Medicine at Winthrop University Hospital. He completed his Bachelors in Medicine
and Surgery (MBBS) from J.J.M Medical College, Karnataka, India.
Jose Poulose started his career as the Medical House Officer in Emergency Medicine
at Christian Medical College and Hospital in Vellore, Tamil Nadu, India. He worked
there for two years. Thereafter, he joined did his Internship and Residency in Internal
Medicine at Winthrop University Hospital, Mineola, NY. He also served as the Chief
Resident in the department of Internal Medicine at the same hospital, training,
mentoring and equipping a remarkable group of medical professionals. Thereafter, he
opened his practice at Williston Park, New York. The clinic is remembered for its
quiet and extraordinary efforts to help the poor and uninsured in the community, who
came from far and wide. He subsequenly became the Senior Medical Consultant at
Bioscience Clinical Laboratory, Port Washington, NY.

While practicing, he acquired various certifications including American Board of


Internal Medicine with Sub Specialty in Cardiology. He also acquired certification from
the Institute of Nuclear Medical Education in Radiation Safety (Radiation
Instrumentation and Radiation Physics). He also received certification from the
American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr Jose Poulose has been honored by many awards in his career for his performance
and skills. He was awarded Outstanding Resident of the Year at Winthrop University
Hospital 1999-2000. The next year, he won the same title. He also took the Teaching
Award for Preceptorship at Stony Brook University, SUNY, NY for two consecutive
years i.e. 2001 and 02. He also received Americas Registry of Outstanding
Professionals for 2003-04. He also won Strathmores Whos Who and Attending of the
Year at the Winthrop University Hospital, NY for the year 2005-06. He is the receiver
of Vitals.com Patient Choice Award for three consecutive years 2009, 2010, and 2011.
Owing to his skills and expertise in the field, Jose Poulose also has research
publications Tricks of the trade with difficult pace maker access, EP Lab Digest,
which was co-authored by T.J. Cohen in 2004. The second publication, The lack of
diagnostic value of the indium scan in acute bacterial endocarditis, in The American
Journal of Medicine which was co-authored by McDermott, B. P., Mohan, S.,
Thermidor, M., Parchuri, S., and Cunha, B. A. in the same year.
