Primary Current Plausibility REB500
ABB
Primary Current Plausibility (PCP) Release Criteria
This feature was introduced in version 7.32.02. The primary current plausibility release criteria is based on the principle that at least 2 Feeders must have a change in current flow for a real primary fault condition. (The current change |di/dt| must be above 0.075*actual current/100ms.) BBP-Trip is released, for the following conditions are applied to the criteria: 1. 2.

3.
In case no feeder current exceeds 0.075*IN (per protection zone).
For approx. 400ms if the isolator/breaker image has changed. This enables busbar faults to be detected that occur the instant a bay is connected even if the phase of the current changes in only one bay unit. When the PCP parameter release delay, if configured, experied.

The PCP release is disabled as default.
As intermediate solution an already existing parameter BBP Trip Delay is used for configuration of the PCP. The former function BBP Trip Delay is not longer available.
BBP Trip Delay = 0
PCP is disabled BBP Trip Delay = 1-254 PCP is enabled, PCP will be released after 1-254* bus cycles in any case. BBP Trip Delay = 255 PCP is enabled, no delayed release functionality.
