1. When do we use the chart?

When the patient entered the active phase of labour (4 cm cervix dilatation)
2. What can be concluded from the 10 oclock examination?
The patient has reached active phase with 4 cm cervix dilatation and the head is not
engaged.
3. What abnormalities do we find from the 14 oclock examination?
No progress of cervix dilatation and head descent.
Inadequacy of uterine contraction frequency and intensity.
4. What are the management for the abnormalities?
Administration of oxytocin infusion (augmentation) with a dosage of 4 U/L.
5. What are the results from the intervention? (mention 2)
Improvement of uterine contraction with progress of labor and delivery of the baby at 20
oclock
