Human Weaknesses

Our limitations are not obstacles to God. On the contrary, God chooses to use foolish
and weak things to accomplish his mission (see 1Co 1:25). He used Moses who was
not eloquent to liberate Israel. He used David, who was the youngest in his family, to
conquer the giant Goliath and become the great king of Israel. He used Peter, who was
fickle and unfaithful, to become the lead apostle in the early church. God chooses
people and circumstances so simple, weak and ordinary so that we know God alone is
the one who changes our lives and the world. If you feel unsettled at times and wonder
just where you fit into this world, this may be Gods way of telling you not to become too
comfortable down here. For our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior
from there, the Lord Jesus Christ. (Philippians 3:20) This unsettledness comes because
we know that this world, in its present form, is passing away! We also know that the man
who does the will of God will live forever. The brevity of this life sends us a message
dont fall in love with this world because we are just passing through.

Hardship has a way of making people run. Pain is uncomfortable & awkward. Its a
reminder of our powerlessness. But the Lord is close to the brokenhearted (Psalm
34:18). God dwells in the perfection of heaven where life is constant with abundant
joy.Yet in our heartaches, God draws near. It is what he chooses to do. God is working
for good in whatever were facing. But even though Hes aware of that reality, He doesnt
minimize or shrug off our pain.. He comes close and stands with us in the midst of it.
The One who thoroughly knows how good life understands our grief. He, more than
anyone, knows how far things have fallen. The comfort that He offers in His closeness
comes from a heart that understandsfar more completely than we do. If youre hurting,
if the world has stepped on your soul, hear the words of the God who loves you: Im
here. I will make things alright.

Like Moses, we all face insecurity and identity crisis, God does not mince words . He
simply told Moses, I Am Who I Am. (Exodus 3:14) He reminded Moses of who He is.
Essentially, God tells him, It is not about who you are, but on Who I Am. Ive got you
covered. Im available. I have all the supplies you will ever need and more. I am selfexistent and almighty. I have no beginning and no end. I just AM! His I AM is more
than enough for our needs. God simply reminds us of Who He is. And that changes
everything!
When talking about yourself, speak words of hope, health, encouragement, life, and
purpose. These are Gods truth for you. Speak words that reflect the wholeness you
desire. God has so much for you. Now all glory to God, Who is able, through His mighty
power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.
(Ephesians 3:20) Learn to pray His way so He can overflow you with His blessings
beyond what you can imagine.

If you feel powerless and weak in the face of your circumstances, then thank God that
even though you are weak, He is not. He says, My strength is made perfect in
weakness. (Corinthians 12:9) God wants you to know the exceeding greatness of His
power toward us who believe (Ephesians 1:19), so He can strengthen you with power
through His Spirit in your inner being (Ephesians 3:16). You cant make up, take, or
demand Gods power; you can only receive it from Him. Dont be a victim of your
circumstances, dont be tormented, dont just watch when life seems to be falling apart.
You cant live life on human energy alone. You need the Holy Spirit power. Live above
the limits of your life.

Many people put themselves in difficulty trying to win the approval and acceptance of
others. While it is not wrong to want others to think well of us as long as the means by
which we try to gain approval are legitimate, there is ultimately only One Whose opinion
matters, and He is the One Who sees through every effort we make. And He who sent
Me is with Me. He has not left Me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to
Him. (John 8:29) God not only knows everything we think and do, He knows why we do

the things we do. He is the ultimate judge of our lives. Knowing that one day we will give
an account to Him should motivate us to do even better.
