Before Tackling Any

Bags or Sandwiches

Upon waiting for the school bus to come, my little child

asked me on his first day there ,last year :
" Why should I be joining the school?"
An even bigger than his whole entity was his little query,
one of those questions that can rock you at once. Stuff like
that killer one "What Is God? , and why should people die,
and what is up there over that blue sky, and where do all
those souls of deceased people go, and all kinds of
questions that stall the elderly all muted, in front of those
huge and closed gates of the cosmic secrets' huge safe.
"Listen to me son", I responded to him " I hope the
following words of mine be still there within your little
brain when you are able to understand their meanings, for
I won't be on the face of this earth by then, most
probably".
" We will be sending you to school to learn so many things
that we, the elderly, tend to call them "Sciences", but this
is not all what I wish of your brain to be striving for ".
"Learn all about sports, but be acknowledged that to be a
sportsman is better than practicing sports".
"Learn all about arithmetic ,but what is more important is
to learn how to verify yourself right in every instant, long
before others be judging you and it would be too late by
then".
"Learn all about geography, but what is far better than
recognizing East from West, and North from South, is to
learn how to direct the compass of your heart to follow the
direction of Heavens and sense the presence of God
Almighty whenever your mind feels any suspicious or
skeptic ".

" Learn all about history lessons, but notice it that all
history books do not use any of those Cupid or Valentines'
red hearts of love and passion, as an icon for their
covers .They all speak of fighting and conflicts. Never learn
to use them as guidance tools to suggest love or induce
hatred, do not be fooled by them, for only God Himself
knows the truth about what had been going there . History
is always written by the victorious and the triumphant.
Never ever fall for wars and conflicts between countries,
empires, or even individuals too . Wars and fighting , like
that saying goes, are much like paintings, they all look
beautiful only while viewed from afar".
" Learn all about your beautiful Arabic language, the one
described by a poet to be like a deep sea , holding all kinds
of pearls deep within its bed, but remember that it is not
the only language that God Almighty wishes you to learn,
for like said by Prophet Mohammad (PBUH),..Each
Tongue Equals a Whole Human Being".
"Learn how to draw objects well, but don't let drawing
consumes you to the extent of missing to acquire an
artistic spirit. It is not that important to draw the "Mona
Lisa" itself, or to spend years and years trying to trace its
fine details and features. To feel the beauty and grace
implanted by God Himself all around you is far more
essential to you ".
" learn all about chemistry, but what is more important
than memorizing all those reactions and terms of minerals
and metals, is to enhance your own essence, and to probe
the goodness inside your mates rather than judging them
by their appearances".
" Learn how to keep a vigil eye on time ,and work
according to that, not just to keep up with the timings of
classes and their breaks , nor for bus time tables too .
What is more important is to figure it that time is like a
rolling stone , it just can't be made to roll back up that
steep cliff .The time you are spending with me is unique, it
could never be restored back, and the second half of your
life cycle, the one that you are very anxious to bring forth,
will mark your sorry sighs of wishing the first half to be
retrieved by then .I would be paying all that I own now,
just to spend a single moment with my late endeared
ones . You might as well be doing the same tomorrow,
wishing me to show up from the dead, something that
would never be feasible , ever!
