Managed the production floor for the Custom Marine business unit; 35 direct
reports and 18 first aid attendants, using the MRP systems to plan daily production needs
and scheduling the CNC machines to cover orders; Developed and implemented Kanban
systems within the shop floor to eliminate part shortages for internal and external
customers; Scheduling first aid coverage for weekend overtime; Create and update
standardized work as part of continuous improvement; Developed first aid auditing system
for 5S, inventory levels, and ordering procedures to eliminate supply shortages within the
first aid rooms.
Achievements: Improved on time delivery from an average of 87% per month to 98% per
month during the past year by developing a rolling plan for production to follow.
