2004-20

Las ciudades construyen la memoria urbana escrita sobre las fachadas de sus edificios ms singulares.
La visin urbana de esbeltas torres gigantes y de pequeos edificios que respetan cada espacio de
forma singular, nos recuerda a un espacio con cientos de especies diferentes que conviven en un hbitat
comn. En este espacio urbano, encontramos una especie cada vez ms atractiva y abundante cuya
caracterstica bsica es su perfecta unin entre funcionalidad y esttica: las fachadas de vidrio. Estas
fachadas nos protegen con su piel y permiten que nuestros ojos sean libres para divisar el horizonte de
transparencia que abre nuestra mirada a travs de calles y plazas.
El vidrio otorga a una fachada la condicin invisible y silenciosa de convertirse en una herramienta
inteligente y multifuncional, aportando a cada proyecto las caractersticas tcnicas necesarias. Adems
de su extraordinaria silueta, estas fachadas son capaces de aislar trmica y acsticamente, de proteger
de los impactos e incluso de ayudar en el ahorro de energa. El vidrio hoy en da, es capaz de minimizar
el impacto sobre el entorno y maximizar el ahorro energtico, cumpliendo requisitos bioclimticos y
construyendo lo que hoy llamamos arquitectura sostenible, todo ello sin renunciar a la luz natural.
En LA VENECIANA de Saint Gobain fabricamos fachadas de vidrio que constituyen el presente y futuro
arquitectnico de muchas ciudades de Espaa y Portugal desde el bagaje de nuestra centenaria historia,
pero basndonos en el desarrollo, la innovacin y la investigacin constantes.
Con este catlogo queremos mostrar nuestras obras recientes ms emblemticas y rendir homenaje a
sus creadores, que han sido capaces de unir esttica y funcionalidad atrapando las ideas ms originales
y hacindolas realidad de la mano de la ingeniera y del material ms avanzado, inteligente y preciso.
Nuestra enhorabuena a quienes en suma han sabido recorrer el camino entre el diseo ms innovador
y la realizacin ms funcional y nuestro agradecimiento por confiar en LA VENECIANA para poner la
piel a su creacin. Nos sentimos orgullosos de aportar un producto que permite realizar lo imaginado
y dotarlo de funciones.
Estas obras en ocasiones nos transmitirn su poder desafiante, en otras son capaces de adoptar miles
de formas, tantas como imagine el creativo. Hay edificios que emergen altivos en contra de los que se
muestran aferrados a la tierra. El vidrio se funde en este paisaje y aparece la perfecta comunin entre
