classroom Web page can have a Blog section, where teachers, parents, and students are able to
communicate with one another online or post any questions or concerns one may have.
Google Docs Google Docs is actually not a software program that one needs to have
installed on ones computer. As long as one is able to have Web access, one is able to access,
adjust, and share the document created through Google Docs with anyone whom has Web access.
This is a very convenient program for anybody to use, and the greatest thing, is that it allows
access from anywhere, as long as one can get online. Google Docs provides many uses. One is
able to create, documents, spreadsheets, presentations, drawings, and Web forms

(Formative and Summative Assessments)

assessments. The technologies that support the formative assessment are advancing more slowly

complicated for formative assessments to be created because these kind of assessments are
distributed out of the ordinary, so one can determine comprehension of the other.
(Pros and Cons of using Technology to Facilitate Assessment)
Technology use to facilitate assessment has pros and cons. The convenience of technology gives
teachers more time to develop other ideas to use with their students. Also it is easy for a teacher
to make adjustments to an old assessment for a new assessment, which also help the teacher save
more time. Teachers are also able to help conserve paper and ink, by displaying information on a
document camera or a Smart Board. On the other hand, the cons of using technology are that
sometimes there may be technical difficulties with the certain tool. In which, it is important to
always have a back up lesson just incase this may occur.
(Should a teacher only use technology to assess student learning? Why or why not?)
A teachers use for technology is not only to assess student learning. It can be used for
other things as well. It is great that technology is able to assess student learning in multiple ways,
but it can also be used as a highly motivating incentive for students.
What is the importance of assessment technology in connection with the ISTE standards?
The importance of assessment technology in connection with the ISTE standard are to
help students learn and practice digital citizenship. One should advocate and practice safe, legal,
and responsible use of information and technology (iste.org/standards).
Concluding Paragraph for Software to Support Assessment
Technology has many beneficial uses, but technology to support assessment of the
comprehensive classroom technology plan is something that an instructor should ensure an idea
of development.
