Integrated Security
G4S is uniquely positioned to meet client requirements for reasonably priced security support that meets
the technical and service standards specified. Our leadership team has extensive experience and will
provide a robust security program that will afford the optimum level of protection for the facilities
personnel and assets. The G4S proposal represents a holistic and integrated solution to the needs of the
company.
Being acutely aware of the prevailing risks and threats in Ghana G4S will deploy an experienced Security
Officers to provide access control and general security 24hrs per day. At night, when the threat is highest,
G4S recommends the deployment of additional Guards who will patrol the area to deter intrusion perform
access control, fire watch and other related duties.
In addition, G4S will install alarm monitoring services per site / critical areas. This will allow guards to
raise an audible alarm to deter intruders and to summon immediate assistance from the response units in
the area.
Radio communication has also been included so that the supervisors can ensure through frequent radio
checks that guards are alert and on post. Radios also allow the patrol guards to summon assistance
when on their rounds.
To further enhance the effectiveness of the guard force we have included for electronic patrol monitoring.
This is a system that requires guards to record their presence at specific times at specific locations
thereby ensuring that they patrol to schedule and according to the routes set out by their supervisors.
Whenever G4S is asked to provide a proposal for security, we tailor the service offer to meet the specific
requirements of the client facility. In all cases we recommend that security technologies and manpower
are integrated to ensure the most effective and cost beneficial solution. In this instance will achieve this
through the following:

Manned Guarding
G4S Ghana currently provides manned guarding services to major organizations including embassies &
diplomatic missions, multi-nationals, NGOs, hospitality agencies, among others.
Our manned guarding technique follows a customized approach to develop solutions for clients
individual needs; using the most appropriate combination of manned guarding and security technology.
Site-specific training and tailor-made procedures are agreed with the client at the onset of each contract,
but regular consultation between our security managers and the client especially on risk assessment and
customer care ensures continual adoption and improvement.
This concept of integrated security solutions is based on two simple objectives: (i) we aim to offer the
cost- effective option available in the market. (ii) we set quantifiable goals in terms of benefits generated
for the client. We also have satellite Operations in Takoradi, Cape Coast, Kumasi, Tarkwa and the
surrounding areas.
Our manned guarding division operates proactively and all operations are based on a risk management
based approach.

Quality Control Procedure

The ISO 9001 standard set the parameters for managing a Quality Management System. G4S
Security Services Ghana applies these standards in order to measure the site standards against
the set parameters to get a result. This result will indicate whether the standard needs to be
lifted or maintained. The measurement tool is in the form of a site assessment sheet covering
various operational issues from understanding the clients business to personnel development.

Interactive Guard Monitoring Unit (IGMU)

At G4S, the root of innovation is never just the technology itself, its drive is in the ability to achieve
operational intelligence that offers a tailored solution in the face of growing security challenges. In view of
inevitable operational risks and challenges associated with a single-site, single-guard / two per shift
locations(smaller manned posts), G4S, as market leaders, introduces the Interactive Guard Monitoring
Unit(IGMU)- a step ahead of the traditional guard monitoring unit system; bringing on-site monitoring,
supervision and management of security officers to an evolutional 3G guard-alertness system.
Besides serving as a periodic back up alert for security officers at post, an IGMU on site also grants
clients the needed peace of mind to concentrate on their core business and go to sleep when they do.
The IGMU is embedded with features such as; a two-way telephonic (dial in) audio communication
system, Alarm (Prompter), a backup battery, portable and easy to install.
Enclosed in our Indicative Rate is a required standard monthly rent / maintenance and installation cost of
an IGMU for your careful consideration.

Alarm systems installation requires advance payment of one month and a signed contract. Guarding Deployment is
usually arranged 4 weeks after contract signing. Large deployments (10 guards and above) require more preparation.
Emergency deployment is arranged on a case-by-case basis depending on type of emergency and resources
available. G4S do not provide 12 hour manned guarding service. We provide only 24 hour services. For 12 hour
manned guarding service requests, we recommend our Electronic security systems (i.e. Panic alarm and Intruder
alarm systems) supported by our Quick Reaction Force (QRF) service.

NOTE:

Rates are subject to escalation annually unless costs impacted by government action
Rates validity: 90 days from date of submission
