Subject: Final Weekly Bulletin
Hello everyone,
Its been a hell of a year - with actual blood, sweat and tears - and many of
us are relieved its over!
There have been (and there continues to be) some overwhelming
challenges and changes that jeopardise the excellence of what we do here
at The PRCPA and we need to continue to fight for what we believe in.
I just wanted to congratulate and thank you as a team for your incredible
work and efforts which have resulted in happy and successful learners,
just look at what we have achieved together

100% pass rate for our BTEC L3 Extended Diploma with the lowest
mark MMM and highest D*D*D
5 out of 8 (63%) of second years moving immediately into full time
HE
All learners in year 1 passing 8-10 units and progressing on to
higher qualifications
Kudos for units 21 and 49 with every learner gaining a merit or
above!
Special mention to Jodie Hicks with 10 Ds (D*D*) and Lucy Trebert
with 6 Ds and 4 Ms (D*D)
Josh & Fin walking away with a qualification
Fantastic results for level 2 performing arts and dance just waiting
for unit 1 results in August now
Great results for level 3 dance
An average of 97.5% attendance across our full time courses
Excellent attendance at enrichment (with our learners even
delivering some sessions)
Amazing academic engagement with learners via social media
A huge amount of learners engaging in extra-curricular and
enterprise projects such as The Magical Days
A 100% increase in our understanding and application of google
drive and classroom
All units recorded on mark-book
Timetables written by early June

Alternative approach to parents evenings


A terrifying external validation with two observations within this
department
Level 2 and Level 3 External verification samples passed with
excellent comments about lead IV process
One member of staff studying Cert. Ed alongside
Performing arts team delivering sessions in staff INSET
Great new partnerships with Grammar School and Elizabeth College
We have hosted LIPA auditions and workshops with Frantic
Assembly, Splendid (also with Le Murier)
A trip to France to explore cultural and educational partnerships
Some incredible staff development opportunities including a trip to
the Globe and Estill Singing Course
A new floor in the drama studio
Five wonderful year 10 work experience students; Finlay, Mathieu,
Ben, Scott & Tabitha
Four personalised year 11 taster days; Oliver, Amber, Sapphire and
Lucy all of whom have now applied
Three performing arts taster sessions for year 10s led by our
students
Tons of marketing including the HE Fair, an information evening for
parents, talk in Access department
At least four appearances on BBC Radio Guernsey
At least six articles in The Guernsey Press
An incredible London trip covering five shows and four workshops
Working with Jack Honeybill from The Town centre Partnership to
secure busking licences for five of our learners
A hilarious comedy impro evening
A classy dance show
A great collaboration with Guernsey Drug and Alcohol Strategy to
tour Swig to local secondary schools
A fantastic 80s style restoration The Country Wife
The romp that was Agatha Crusty and The Village Hall Murders
Not to mention the wonderful Loserville for which the social media
campaign totalled 15,911 engagements with over 39,500 people
reached.
Great input in the hair show
Numerous busking events in town carol singing and Loserville
promotional work
Incredible promo documentary clip now shown on college screens
The gorgeous end of year showcase which included three amazing
alumni students
All in all a very high standard of shows, selling just under 1500
seats
A nominee for the Sovereign Shield Award (David)
A worthy Performing Arts Distance travelled Award (Sammie)
A fantastic new curriculum model planned for next year taking in
plans to work with DAS, Safer and The Arts Commission
I hope I havent missed anything out I probably have.

And all of this whilst juggling or home lives; sickness, family, building
work, beautiful new babies, bereavement, adoption, and all the things that
life throws at us.
Just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you so much for all of your hard work
and support for our lucky learners this isnt just getting by.
