I. COURSE DESCRIPTION (Socio 1)
The course will be a cooperative or synergistic endeavor of the students and the instructor to attain the vision of Tomas del Rosario College which is: Truth
and Goodness in Man and for all Others through Education. Sociology is the scientific study of the social relationships of people. It is chiefly concerned with the
structures of societies and the factors that influence members of a group or community as they interact with one another. The course will acquaint the students to
some basic principles of social and relational dynamism. It covers significant topics such as: History and development of sociology as a science, culture, values,
personality, socialization, deviant behaviors, marriage and family and religion.
