INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATES

1. Detail of Post, eligibility criteria including qualification and the communal

reservation can be seen in Annexure I appended to this Application.
2. Age limit for the post of Registrar as per the Tamil Nadu Government rules in
force.
3. Candidates must be an Indian National.
4. Candidates who satisfy the conditions prescribed should be prepared to appear
for interview at their own cost.
5. Candidates may be called for an interview as per the list prepared by the
Screening Committee constituted for the purpose by the Vice-Chancellor. The
summoning of the candidates for the interview merely indicates that it is felt
that he/she with others may be suitable for the post and conveys no assurance
whosoever that he/she will be recommended or selected or his/ her conditions
specifies in the application will be accepted.
6. The Syndicate reserves the right to fill or not to fill-up the post without
assigning any reasons whatsoever.
7. Any attempt, by the candidate, either directly or indirectly to influence the
Selection Committee or other authorities of the University will disqualify the
candidate for the post.
8. In addition to pay, the post carries allowances as per the Tamil Nadu State
government rules.
9. The service conditions and other terms of appointment in the University shall be
subject to the approval of the Syndicate of the Tamil Nadu Physical Education
and Sports University.
10. Persons who are already working in State of Central Government/ University.
Public Sector Undertakings should send their applications through proper
channel. Any delay in sending the applications through proper channel is not
the responsibility of the University. Advance Copies of the applications reaching
the Registrar, Tamil Nadu Physical Education and University, Chennai-127
within the prescribed time limit shall be entertained provided original
application forwarded through proper channel reached the Registrar office
before the candidates are called for interview or the Screening Committee meets.
11. The application form shall be filled- in, complete in all respects, giving correct
information. Defective and incomplete application and those with wrong or false
information will be summarily rejected.
12. Evidence of Experience and Degree/Diploma Certificates and all the
testimonials should be brought in original at the time of interview. Attested
Copies of Certificates, Mark-Sheets, Testimonials, etc., should be attached with
the application and must be produced at the time of interview and at the time of
joining. If selected. The Selected candidate, shall produce, in original, the
Matriculation or equivalent certificates as proof of the date of birth. No other
evidence will be accepted.
13. No interim queries regarding test / interview/ selection will be entertained.
14. The Candidates applying for the posts mentioned in the Advertisement and
Annexure-I appended to this application should sent their application along
with two copies of Bio-Data. Otherwise application will not be entertained.
15. The applications received after the date prescribed as last date for the receipt of
the application, will not be entertained for consideration and it will be rejected
and the cost of applications so remitted in any form will not be refunded.
16. Cost of Application Form In person Rs. 300/- for SC/ST and Rs. 500/- for
other Community. By post for SC/ST Rs. 375/- and for other Community Rs.
575/17. Only such of those applications which are in full shape satisfying the eligibility
criteria referred to in the Instructions to the candidates and also in the
notification advertised in the Tamil & English Dailies dated 28.04.2013
