The bond that forms in water molecules is covalent and the type of bonding
between is molecular bonding
2.3 The oxygen atom attracts the shared pair of electrons more than the hydrogen
does. Thats why a water molecule is polar.
2.4 When water is frozen, the molecules of the water form a crystal lattice-like
structure, which is maintained by the hydrogens ability to bond. Ice is less dense
than water because of the orientation at which hydrogen bonds causes water
molecules to push apart which lowers the density of the ice. This is good for life on
earth.
2.5 Waters physical attributes and chemical composition makes water one of the
best solvents. The covalent bonds in water have a polar arrangement with oxygen
being negative and hydrogen being positive. This positive and negative
arrangement allows water to be a great solvent for polar and ionic substances.
2.6 The positive element of sodium chloride would be attracted to the positive
hydrogen of water. This will cause the sodium chloride and water to split and make
two new substances to form. The mixture formed would be homogenous.

PART 1

1. AIM: The aim of this investigation is to determine the resistance of resistors

connected in series.

2. INVESTIGATIVE QUESTION :
3. HYPOTHESIS: My hypothesis is that current has an inverse relationship with
resistance.

4. APPARATUS:

Batteries
4 Voltmeters
2 Ammeters
Switch
3 resistors
Conducting wires

5. METHOD: I set up a series electric circuit as shown in the circuit diagrams

with 1, then 2 and then 3 resistors.
I disconnected one bulb and recorded what happens to the other bulbs
I connected a voltmeter in parallel over each bulb and another one in parallel
over the battery I toke the readings of the voltmeters
6. RESULTS:

7. INTURPRETATION AND ANALYSE:

8. CONCLUSION:

9. QUESTIONS:
1: My conclusion about current in a series electric circuit is that resistance
has a substantial inverse relationship with current
2: All the other lights switch off because the circuit was a series circuit
3: My conclusion is that the potential difference has an adverse relationship
with resistance
