Kris Aquino will give up her showbiz talk shows for brother Noynoy

for the duration of Noy's presidency
magpapaalam po ako sa aking mga shows that
can cause controversy for him.
2010."

Kris Aquino has made a decision. She will

leave her two showbiz talk shows, SNN and The
Buzz.

ABS-CBN's Queen of Talk made the

announcement last night, May 18, towards the end of her nightly showbiz news program SNN.
This was after her meeting with the network executives.

Kris said that she came to the decision after she and her sisters Ballsy Aquino-Cruz, Pinky
Aquino-Abellada, and Viel Aquino-Dee talked last Sunday, May 16.

expectations of us, specifically me pagkatapos po ni Noynoy na-proclaim nga sa June 30, 2010

"So, katulong po ng aking mga kapatid na babae, dahil in fairness po kay Noy, hindi naman niya
ito in-impose, napagpasyahan po namin na for the duration of Noy's presidency, magpapaalam
po ako sa aking mga shows that can cause controversy for him."

She declared, "Ang ibig sabihin po niyan, iiwan ko po ang SNN on June 25, 2010, at ang last
The Buzz ko po ay on June 27, 2010."

The TV host-actress, however, clarified that she's not totally leaving the industry.

aking mga anak pagkatapos ng babang-luksa ng mom in August," said Kris referring to the
former President Corazon Aquino, who died of cancer August last year.

Kris also assured the public that she will still be seen on television.
namin," she daid.

"IT'S A CHOICE, A SACRIFICE I'M MAKING."  Kris thanked  the people who have
supported her throughout her stay in show business and asked for understanding.

"Sana po, lahat kayo na sumubaybay, most especially sa mga sumusubaybay sa The Buzz, Boy
[Abunda, her co-host and talent manager], kasi 11 years nating pinagsamahan 'yon...
In fact, I love the program.

"It is a choice, a sacrifice I'm making, kasi napakahirap po na any comment I make can be
misinterpreted.

She added, "He will have enough problems, solving everything that is a crisis here.
So, I'm giving that to Noy. I
want Noy to succeed because I gave it my entire life to help him win."

With this decision, Kris would be giving up a lot of opportunities.  However, the TV personality
had to do it for her family.

SETTLING THE DIFFERENCES. Just before her announcement, Kris also made peace with
Sarangani Congressman-elect Manny Pacquiao. It can be remembered that the latter made a buzz
with his statement in one of the TV ads for presidential aspirant Manny Villar during the election
campaign.

Now, Kris sets aside their differences and is friends again with the Pinoy boxing champ and his
wife Jinkee.

On SNN last night, she related, "Kami nga ni Jinkee Pacquiao, okay na okay na ulit, e.

Kris also had the same feeling for Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo, who endorsed Villar's
running mate, Senator Loren Legarda.

She said, "Naunawaan ko kung anong desisyon nila. For as long as hindi mo inatake maliciously
ang kapatid ko or any member of our family, wala sa akin 'yon."

The TV host-actress also hopes that she could have a project with the young diva someday.

"I really pray that one day I can work with her," Kris said.
