THE QURAN REFUTES DARWINISM I

Darwinism thrives in a climate of ignorance.

It suggests that intermediate fossils exist when in fact they do not.
It offers false proofs.
Although all the fossils discovered prove creation, Darwinism maintains the opposite.
It claims that proteins came into being by chance, though the odds of this happening are just 1
in 10950, in other words a mathematical impossibility.
It seeks to make people believe that artists, scientists, and professors came into existence,
again by chance, from these proteins, which cannot themselves have come about by chance.
It even seeks to have us believe that these professors found universities and research how they
themselves came into being by chance.
Darwinism regards the fact that there is more information encoded in the chromosome of the
living cell than there is in a giant library as a miracle of blind chance.
It maintains that chance is the supposed Divine power that turned unseeing, unhearing,
unfeeling atoms into seeing, hearing, feeling and conscious human beings.
Chance is the deity of Darwinism, one that supposedly works miracles.
Darwinism is the worst mass deception of the last two hundred years.
Within the next 5 to 10 years, at the most, those who have fallen under the spell of
Darwinism will be amazed at how they were taken in.
The theory of evolution is an ideology opposed to religion that denies the existence of God
and the fact of creation; it claims that all life emerged as the result of random coincidences.
Scientific discoveries made in the 20th century led to the theory losing all its foundations.
The invalidity of the theory is obvious even to anyone with a primary school level of
knowledge.
The information taught in biology lessons about the complex structure of the cell is alone
sufficient enough to demonstrate the nonsensical nature of evolutionist claims built on the
logic of chance.
PRESENTER
Despite all these evident truths, it is still possible to encounter Muslims who support this
unscientific and atheistic theory by being taken in by materialist indoctrination and
propaganda.

There are even some Muslims who, deceived by this indoctrination, imagine that the theory of
evolution is a scientific fact and set about seeking a middle way between the theory and
faith in God.
The people, in question, accept, word for word, the Darwinist scenario regarding the origin of
life.
Yet, by maintaining that this scenario operates under the control of God, they attempt to
reconcile the theory of evolution with Islam.
However, according to the Quran, there is no rational aspect in trying to adapt this theory,
which is based on the denial of God and the denial of creation, to religion.
The theory of evolution maintains that nothing, living or otherwise, in the universe was
created, and that, on the contrary, they all emerged as the result of natural phenomena, chance
and coincidences.
The fact is, however, that in our Holy Scripture, the Quran, we are told that the Omniscient
and the Almighty God brought everything in the skies, on the Earth, and between the two into
existence; in other words that they were created.
As we have seen, the theory of evolution conflicts with the fact of Divine creation right from
the outset.
At this point, one matter that confuses some people needs to be clarified.
Of course God could have created living things by means of evolution had He so chosen.
But there is no account or sign in the Quran to indicate any such thing.
There is not one single verse to support the idea of a lengthy, stage by stage formation of
species, as evolutionists maintain happened.
On the contrary, all the evidence shows that God created living things in a single moment, and
perfectly formed.
In the first part of our documentary film, The Quran Refutes Darwinism, we shall be
seeing how the idea of evolution is refuted by the verses of the Quran and how evolution is a
violation of the essence and spirit of the Quran.
GOD IS HE WHO CREATES FROM NOTHING
Regarding the emergence of life, some Muslims hide behind evolutionist accounts that are
devoid of any validity.
They try to explain the emergence of living things in terms of such unrealistic and irrational
concepts as mutation, natural selection, and a transition from water to land or from land to the
air.

God creates everything, in the form and at the time that He chooses, without the
use of any model and out of nothing. He is exalted above any defect and is rich
beyond any need. He has no need of any cause, means, or stages for His creation.
He is beyond all the causes and laws, since He created them. Therefore, nobody
should be misled by the fact that everything is based on specific causes and
natural laws.
God, Lord of the Earth and heavens, can eliminate these causes if He so chooses.
This is very easy for Him.
This fact is related in several verses of the Quran, which report the following
about Gods creation:
Our Word to a thing when We desire it is just to say to it Be! and it is. (Surat anNahl, 40)
It is He Who gives life and causes to die. When He decides on something, He just
says to it, Be! and it is. (Surah Ghafir, 68)
To cite an example, God has no need to bring a lung into being through evolution
or some other mechanism.
For instance, He can create people who do not need oxygen to survive, and
therefore do not need any lungs. It is therefore completely wrong for people to
think of God's greatness and might as being limited to their own senses and
reason. God willed and created the Earth and the heavens, all that lies between,
and all living and non-living things.
It is related in many verses of the Quran that God created the universe and living
things in a perfect form. Contrary to what those who believe in so-called
evolutionary creation suggest, God did not first create flawed transitional forms
with missing organs then cause them to evolve into apes and then into humans
through various transitional forms.
Rather, as revealed in the Qur'an, He created man in the most perfect manner:
We created man in the finest mould. (Surat at-Tin, 4)
[He] formed you, giving you the best of forms. And He is your final destination.
(Surat at-Taghabun, 3)
OUR LORDS MATCHLESS FORMS OF CREATION
PRESENTER:

One important matter, that those circles of individuals who subscribe to the idea
of so-called evolutionary creation ignore, is the matchless forms of Gods
creation.
God also created angels, jinn, and satan with a very different creation, other than
human beings and animals.
According to what we are told in the Quran, none of these entities came into
existence as the result of a long process, in stages, through evolution.
Rather, they were all created in a single moment, independent of natural causes,
by Gods so willing it.
God is He Who has no need of any process or long stages in His creation.
In blindly clinging to Darwinist errors about the creation of man, some
evolutionists offer no explanation as to the creation of angels, jinn, or satan.
Jinn Did Not Evolve, But Were Created From Fire at Gods Choosing
The creation of the angels is described in these terms in verses:
Praise be to God, the Bringer into Being of the heavens and Earth, He Who made
the angels messengers, with wingstwo, three or four. He adds to creation in any
way He wills. God has power over all things. (Surah Fatir, 1)
PRESENTER:
As can be seen from this verse, angels are very different in appearance to human
beings.
Indeed, God draws attention to this different creation in the words He adds to
creation in any way He wills.
As revealed in verses 49 and 50 of Surat an-Nahl, angels are beings at Gods
command and were created before man.
When God created Adam, the first human being, He informed the angels of this,
and commanded them to prostrate themselves before Adam.
The Quran also refers to the angels of death, Gabriel and Michael in the
following verses:
If only you could see when the angels take back those who disbelieved at their
death, beating their faces and their backs: Taste the punishment of the Burning!
(Surat al-Anfal, 50)

(Say,) Anyone who is the enemy of God and of His angels, and of His messengers
and of Gabriel and Michael, should know that God is the enemy of the
disbelievers. (Surat al-Baqara, 98)
God informs us in the Quran that He sent angels to the Prophets Abraham, Lot,
and the blessed Mary.
The angels who gave the Prophet Abraham the glad tidings of the Prophets Isaac
and Jacob entered his house with the word Peace.
Those same angels informed the Prophet Lot that his people would be destroyed.
Verses in Surah Maryam reveal that God sent the angel Gabriel to Mary, and that
Gabriel told her, I am only your Lords messenger.
PRESENTER:
These messengers were brought into being alongside the Prophets Abraham and Lot, and the
blessed Mary by the will of God.
They were created by the will of God, at the place and in the form chosen by Him.
God does not refer to any process or evolutionary stages in these verses.
These examples, once again reveal Gods matchless creative power, and His creation
independent of natural causes and stages.
In the same way as that of the angels, the creation of man took place in a single moment, with
God commanding him to Be!
No account of such miraculous creation appears in the works of certain Muslims who devote
space to the outmoded deceptions of the theory of evolution in them.
THE ANGELS WERE BROUGHT INTO BEING SUDDENLY, WITHOUT UNDERGOING
ANY EVOLUTIONARY PROCESS
Like angels, the jinn's creation also differs from that of man. The verses show that man was
created from clay, while the jinn were created from fire:
He created man from dry earth like baked clay. And He created the jinn from a
fusion of fire. (Surat ar-Rahman, 14-15)
In the Qur'an, God also reveals His purpose in creating man and the jinn:
I only created jinn and man to worship Me. (Surat adh-Dhariyat 56)
It is clear from this that although man and the jinn are very different beings, they
both were created to worship only God by living by the values He prescribed.
God provides detailed information about jinn in the Quran, especially in Surah
Jinn:

They believe in God, they fear God, they submit to the Quran, they heed the
Quran.
In the story of the Prophet Solomon related in the verses of Surat an-Naml, we are told that
the jinn possess various abilities, such as that of transporting matter and moving very fast.
As revealed in verse 119 of Surah Hud, the jinn will receive full recompense for their deeds
on the Day of Judgment.
PRESENTER:
Like the angels, the jinn were also created before man.
When He created the Prophet Adam, peace be upon him, God commanded
the angels and the jinn to prostrate before him. After that, He reveals that satan is
one of the jinn:
When We said to the angels, Prostrate yourselves to Adam, they prostrated with
the exception of satan. He was one of the jinn and wantonly deviated from his
Lords command. Do you take him and his offspring as protectors apart from Me
when they are your enemy? How evil is the exchange the wrongdoers make! (Surat
al-Kahf, 50)
PRESENTER:
God created the jinn from a fusion of fire.
There is no reference in the verses to any evolutionary process, chance, or any evolutionary
mechanism, because there is no question of the jinn being created through evolution.
They were brought into being in a single moment, by the will of God, undergoing no process,
mutation or natural selection.
Creation is an easy matter for God, Who creates from nothing and with no
previous cause. Just as He created the angels and the jinn in different forms from
nothing, He also created man as a separate being from nothing and with no need
for evolution.
THE MIRACLES PERFORMED BY THE PROPHETS ARE ALL EVIDENCE THAT
THERE IS NO EVOLUTION
It is reported in various verses of the Quran that our Lord blessed many of His prophets with
miracles.
According to what is related in the verses: when the Prophet Jesus, peace be upon him, made a clay
object in the shape of a bird and breathed into it, the bird came to life by God's will. This
fact is related in the Qur'an:

... I will create the shape of a bird out of clay for you and then breathe into it and it
will be a bird by Gods permission... (Surah Al Imran, 49)
God formed a living thing independent of all known natural causes, and gave it life.
A living being formed out of mud, a being that had not evolved or underwent any intermediate stages.
This is one of His miracles, and an important truth that Muslims who believe in evolution
cannot account for.
God is He Who has no need of stages to create a living thing.
A similar example mentions the Prophet Abraham, peace be upon him.
It is revealed in the Quran how God endows inanimate things with life:
When Abraham said, My Lord, show me how You bring the dead to life. He
asked, Do you not then believe? He replied, Indeed I do! But so that my heart
may be at peace. He said, Take four birds and train them to yourself. Then put a
part of them on each mountain and call to them; they will come rushing to you.
Know that God is Almighty, All-Wise. (Surat al-Baqara, 260)
In another verse, our Lord reveals that He turned the Prophet Mosess staff into a serpent and
thus foiled the tricks of the sorcerers.
PRESENTER
One of the miracles revealed in these verses is creation in a single moment by Gods will.
The bird brought to life by the Prophet Abraham, the bird formed out of mud by the Prophet
Jesus, and the serpent into which the Prophet Mosess staff turned into all came into being in a
single moment.
They came to life without undergoing any evolutionary process, simply by the will of our
Almighty Lord.
THE BIRD AND THE ANT IN THE STORY OF THE PROPHET SOLOMON ARE PROOF
THAT THERE IS NO EVOLUTION
Another example in the Quran of Gods miraculous creation is to be found in the story of the
Prophet Solomon.

As we are told in verses, the Prophet Solomon hears what a female ant is saying about him,
and says:
Then, when they reached the Valley of the Ants, an ant said, Ants! Enter your
dwellings so that Solomon and his troops do not crush you unwittingly. He
[Solomon] smiled, laughing at its words ... (Surat an-Naml, 18-19)
As this verse makes clear, one ant addressed the others. Of course, it is out of the
question for a creature supposedly "formed" by chance to have a special
communication system that allows it to address its own community or exhibit
behavior indicative of reason and logic. Our Almighty Lord brought this ant into
being with a miraculous creation outside the natural causes with which human
beings are familiar.
Another example in the story of the Prophet Solomon is the words of the bird
Hoophoe:
However, it was not long delayed, and then it said, I have comprehended
something you have not and bring you accurate intelligence from Sheba. (Surat
an-Naml, 22)
PRESENTER:
It is related in verses how the bird called Hoophoe spoke in a conscious manner,
made rational comments, and provided the Prophet Solomon with intelligence.
As can be seen from its speech, Hoophoe had faith and recited the praises of God:
... they are not guided and do not prostrate to God, Who brings out what is
hidden in the heavens and the earth, and knows what you conceal and what you
divulge. Godthere is no deity but Himthe Lord of the Mighty Throne. (Surat
an-Naml, 25-26)
Evolutionists claim that the faculty of speech in human beings came about
as the result of lengthy processes.
They say that the reason why animals cannot speak is that they have not
completed the evolutionary process.
In their view, a bird or an ant should not be able to speak in a conscious,
rational, and devout manner as revealed in the verses.
PRESENTER:

So what kind of a so-called evolutionary process did this ant and bird
undergo to allow them to speak so fluently?
What evolutionist logic can account for Hoophoe reciting the praises of
God, identifying intelligence, and making analyses?
This miracle came about, of course, by God just saying Be!
A creature, brought into being by God, can behave intelligently and thus
establish communication if God so wishes it, and to the extent that He
wishes.
This ants speech and Hoophoes comments did not come about through any
process of evolution.
Some evolutionists who say they believe in the existence and might of God
need to reflect on signs such as these in the verses.
These facts of creation clearly invalidate evolutionist claims.
THE EXAMPLES OF RESURRECTION
INVALIDATE EVOLUTIONIST CLAIMS

CITED

IN

THE

QURAN

Creation and resurrection are entirely in God's hands, and, as is the case with creation, He
has no need of external causes when it comes to resurrection. There are many examples of
this in the Qur'an.
It is revealed in the Qur'an that after people die, they will be resurrected on the
Day of Judgment:
That is their repayment for rejecting Our signs and saying, What, when we are
bones and crumbled dust, will we then be raised up as a new creation? Do they
not see that God, Who created the heavens and earth, has the power to create the
like of them...? (Surat al-Isra, 98-99)
As we have seen, unbelievers do not believe that people will be re-created after
dying and becoming one with the soil. This example summarizes the situation as
regards the theory of evolution.
PRESENTER:
Our Lord, Who will re-form people's bodies from nothing on the Day of
Judgment, also created the first man, the Prophet Adam, from nothing. People
who have turned into mere bones after their deaths will be resurrected without
any evolutionary process.

The Prophet Adam was created out of nothing, by the will of God, with no
process of evolution. Another verse about resurrection on the Day of Judgment
reads:
You have come to Us all alone just as We created you at first, leaving
behind you everything We bestowed on you... (Surat al-Anam, 94)
PRESENTER:
Another point requiring careful attention is that the Qur'an points to the resurrection of man
on the Day of Judgment. It makes it clear that this creation will be like their "first creation."
Each person, who will have died and become one with the soil, will be reborn through a recreation in the Hereafter and assume a human form. That is why the first human creation
resembles this and happens not stage by stage, but all at once and in a miraculous manner.
Another example of resurrection is given in the Quran: the situation facing someone
who did not believe in resurrection after death. According to the verses, God caused the
person and his donkey to be dead for 100 years and then resurrected them both.
Or the one who passed by a town which had fallen into ruin? He asked, How can
God restore this to life when it has died? God caused him to die a hundred years
then brought him back to life. Then He asked, How long have you been here? He
replied, I have been here a day or part of a day. He said, Not so! You have been
here a hundred years. Look at your food and drinkit has not gone badand
look at your donkey so We can make you a sign for all mankind. Look at the bones
how We raise them up and clothe them in flesh. When it had become clear to
him, he said, Now I know that God has power over all things. (Surat al-Baqara,
259)
This example, given in the verses, is just one piece of evidence that God has no
need to create any natural cause in order to create or to take life.
PARADISE AND HELL ARE ALSO CREATED FROM NOTHING
It appears from statements by some Muslim proponents of evolution that, like
Darwinists, they value natural causes.
Yet, this is a grave error.
As we have already emphasized, God is untainted by any natural causes.
In order to create a thing He just tells it to Be!
PRESENTER:
For example, God created paradise and hell independently of natural causes.
One of the questionsthat those who attempt to account for the emergence of the
universe, the Earth, and life on Earth in terms of an evolutionary process need to
answer is that of how paradise and hell were created.

God created all the details in paradisethe high mansions, the lovely houses, the
tall thrones, the foods, the fruits, the vegetables and the countless other
blessings. He created these out of nothing with no evolutionary process at all.
Our Lord has revealed, in verses, that there will be several entities other than
human beings in paradise. For example, the angels who will greet believers in
paradise, as related in verse 23 of Surat ar-Rad, are also created in a single
moment.
The maidens of paradise, described in verses 22 and 23 of Surat al-Waqia, and
the immortal young men, revealed in verse 19 of Surat al-Insan, are created in
paradise by God telling them to Be! and through no process of evolution.
The creation of the maidens of paradise and the immortal young men is another
question that Muslim adherents of the theory of evolution cant answer.
Our Lord also created every detail in hell out of nothing.
As revealed in verse 71 of Surat az-Zumar, custodians will meet people who are
resurrected after death when they arrive at the gates of hell.
PRESENTER:
These custodians were also brought into being by a special creation, through the
will of God, without undergoing any process of evolution.
There is no question of evolution regarding either the custodians of hell or life in
it.
This also applies to the creation of man.
The Prophet Adam was created out of wet mud in a single moment.
No so-called evolutionary process occurred in the creation of man, and man was
not subjected to natural selection or mutation.
God revealed the term, mud, in verse 15 of Surat al-Hijr, in order for people to
comprehend this miracle of creation more closely.
God has no need of mud or any other substance in order to create.
Our Lord, Who brought the maidens and immortal young men in paradise and the
custodians of hell into being through no natural causes, also created man out of
nothing through His infinite might.
Our Lord needs no natural causes in order to create.
Our Lord needed no mud when making a bird out of mud.
It is in this form solely because He said it should be a means.
Our Lord had no need of a staff when turning the staff of the Prophet Moses into
a serpent.
It would be highly misleading to think along the lines of, If there had been no
staff, there would have been no serpent.
These are merely natural causesmeans whereby people can understand more
easily and construct an appropriate logic.

In the same way that God created the angels, jinn, and satan, He also created the
first human being, the Prophet Adam, out of nothing, in a single moment, by
telling him to Be!
In Surat al-Hijr, it is revealed that:
When your Lord said to the angels, I am creating a human being out of dried clay
formed from fetid black mud. When I have formed him and breathed My Spirit
into him, fall down in prostration in front of him! (Surat al-Hijr, 28-29)
As has been made clear through various examples throughout this film, God is He
Who creates what He wishes, in the form He wishes, out of nothing.
Certain Muslims must not close their eyes to these facts.
God has revealed, in the Quran, that He made man out of nothing, but makes no
mention of any process of evolution.
God needs no process or evolutionary mechanism to create man.
God is free from all such deficiencies.
CONCLUSION
In this film we saw, with evidence from the verses, that there is absolutely no
room for such a concept as evolution in the Quran.
We have seen how the theory of evolution, which takes chance and coincidences
as its deities, is totally incompatible with Islam, which teaches that there is no
other deity than God and that God is the sole Creator.
In the next, second part of this film, we shall be looking at the reasons why
evolutionist Muslims fall into error, the mistakes they make in looking for
evidence for evolution in the verses of the Quran, and the dangerous
consequences of failing to see the threat posed by Darwinism.
PRESENTER
Some Muslims may, up until today, have regarded the theory of evolution as true,
and may have even defended it.
It is natural, under the influence of evolutionist propaganda, for someone who
does not follow scientific developments and who does not read publications that
describe the invalidity of the theory of evolution, to imagine that this theory
represents the scientific truth.
However, the moment a person realizes his mistake, Islamic moral values require
him to immediately turn towards the true path.
In verses, we are told that:
[People who guard against evil are] those who, when they act indecently or wrong
themselves, remember God and ask forgiveness for their bad actions (and who can
forgive bad actions except God?) and do not knowingly persist in what they were
doing. (Surah Al Imran, 135)

But if anyone repents after his wrongdoing and puts things right, God will turn
towards him. God is Ever-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (Surat al-Maida, 39)
