The certification of these authorized workshops is
carried out by the Safety Committee of Westfalia
Separator AG in accordance with strict criteria and
standards. When the extensive organisational
and technical conditions have been met, the Safety
Committee appoints a safety officer likewise
in accordance with binding standards and high
demands. The responsibility of the authorized
workshops for the safety and performance of our
machines can therefore be personally addressed.

workshops, top-quality service work is available
anywhere and at any time. This increases the
availability of your production installations and
reduces your time-dependent operating costs.

Maintenance, spare parts, repairs and service
from Westfalia Separator stand for care,
precision and the sense of responsibility on the
part of the technology leader in the field of
mechanical separation technology. As a result,
customers profit from the assurance of their
separators and decanters operational safety,
performance and economy.

The prerequisite for this unique level of uniformly

high maintenance quality is a network of authorized
workshops. Supported by first-class equipment and
control of repair orders which has been optimized
down to the last detail, top performance is
guaranteed by the employment of only demonstrably
qualified safety officers and service technicians.
With this global network of authorized workshops,
Westfalia Separator has created the foundation for
fast reactions and short paths to the customer. This
makes certified service work available anywhere and
at any time. In turn, this increases the availability of
our centrifuges on the one hand while, on the other,
it decreases time-dependent operating costs which
can result from, among other things, long paths
for the provision of qualified repairs or OEM
parts, or which can result from unplanned machine
downtimes.

The establishment of a worldwide network of

authorized workshops now makes these advantages
available to our customers along the shortest
possible path, internationally and at a uniformly high
level of quality. This is particularly true in those
instances where, to date, only the Westfalia
Separator facilities in Oelde, Niederahr and Chatau
Thierry were able to provide assistance. Beginning
now, customers have the advantages of excellence
and time savings when it comes to replacement
parts and repairs in those areas where certified
performance, suitably qualified service personnel
and OEM spare parts were previously only available
at great expense with regard to time and costs.

The designation as a Westfalia Separator

Authorized Workshop represents a certified
seal of approval on which our customers can
rely. It stands for a global system of specialists,
repair and maintenance services tested and
evaluated down to the last detail together with
OEM parts for high-speed centrifuges. All these
services have been qualified and certified
in accordance with applicable regional and
international standards as well as the stringent
requirements of Westfalia Separator.

Even once the workshop meets these organizational
and technical requirements there is an additional
authorization step: within the context of its
examination of a certification request the Westfalia
Separator AG Safety Committee in Oelde appoints or
confirms a safety officer who must also be qualified
and examined in accordance with binding standards
and stringent requirements.

The Westfalia Separator AG Safety Committee which

has been established by our Executive Board as the
final arbitrator in all matters related to the safety of
our technology employs strict criteria and standards
for certification.
When authorizing a workshop, machine technology
levels and the quality of the maintenance and repair
work are examined just as closely as the layout of the

Based on the Westfalia Separator promise

of Life Cycle Benefit , the responsibility of
the authorized workshop for the safety and
performance of our machines is binding and
can be personally addressed.
Upon initial certification, the Safety Committee
appoints or confirms the safety officer. The
requirement for this position is that the individual
has been trained at our main plant and has
successfully passed the certification examination.
This certification documents the safety officers
ability to perform the assigned tasks:
The safety officer is responsible for all
safety-related repairs to Westfalia Separator
separators and decanters
The safety officer must therefore have the
ability to technically assess these repairs
and to prepare and document specifications
related to their performance
The safety officer is responsible for all
technical communications with the individually
relevant technical departments

During operation, acceleration forces up to
20,000 G as well as thermal loads and chemical
influences which must all be safely managed under
