ASSIGNMENT REQUIREMENTS
CW 1: Mid Term Test (Individual) - 50 marks
Students are required to sit for the online test tentatively on Week 4.
Instructions:

Please ensure that you have registered with the TAR UC Cel system.
A total of 50 multiple choices questions (MCQ) will be selected randomly by the Cel system
based on 3 levels of difficulty i.e. easy, moderate and hard.
Test coverage: Topic 1 to 5.
You are required to complete all the 50 questions within fifty (50) minutes.

CW 2: Group Written Assignment 50 marks


GUIDELINES FOR GROUP FORMATION
1.

Students are to organise among themselves into team of 4-5 students each (please note that
project submitted by team less than 4 or more than 5 students will NOT be accepted). All teams
should be formed and names of team members should be submitted to tutor by Week 2. Students
who are not a member of any team shall be assigned to a team by the tutor.

2. Changing of team member is NOT allowed after the submission of team members name.
3. The group project marks are FINAL once it has been signed off by the lecturer/tutor.

ASSIGNMENT REQUIREMENTS
Students will be assigned a case by the tutors on Week 2. Students are required to apply different types of
theories that are applicable to the case. This assignment requires students to do additional research on the
company, using secondary research information and materials in answering the questions. You can find
information on a range of sources such as the company websites, magazines, newspapers, the internet,
academic journals etc.

Statement of Originality and Declaration Form ( download from CEL)
Introduction (estimated 1 2 paragraphs) - you are required to give summary of the case
and the issues that are covered in the case study.
Analysis of the case study by answering the questions stated at the end of the case study.
Conclusion (estimated 1 2 paragraphs)

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Students are required to work in a team of 4-5.
2. Assignment must be typed written in font Times New Roman, sized 12, with double spacing.
3. Word count (excluding the reference and appendices) should range between min 1500 to max
2000 words.
4. Please indicate on the cover page the title, tutorial group, ID no, subject code & title and the
deadline for the assignment.
5. Every page must be numbered/or alpha numeric. Page numbering to be placed on the bottom
centre of the page.
6. Before submission, students are required to upload the soft copy of the written report to
SafeAssign in CEL to check for plagiarism and attach together the plagiarism report with your
written assignment. Written assignment without the SafeAssign report will NOT be accepted.
Plagiarism threshold is 15%. Students are also required to submit the attachment form for
plagiarism and submit together with the written assignment.
7. The marked assignment will be returned, and the coursework marks and feedback will be released
in Week 7.
8. DUE DATE for the Group Written Assignment is on WEEK 6(a) during tutorial class.
Penalty for Late Submission
All late submission will be imposed a penalty of 10% on daily basis.
WARNING! Students who are caught for plagiarism will have to re-do the entire assignment within
a week. A maximum of 50 marks will be awarded for second report submission.
