PERSONAL STATEMENT
As a scholar, I am engaged in research on the design of social, technology-enhanced systems for
faculty development and student instruction. My diverse experience also spans curriculum and
instructional design, program development and administration, accreditation, and faculty
development. I have provided leadership for units including distance learning, instructional
technology and design, user help desk support, web programming, and multimedia production.
NOTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Leading the design & institutional adoption of flexible, research-based training experiences
(e.g., microlearning for faculty development, scenario-based advisor training, etc.);
Promoting highly-interactive, constructivist models of design for online, blended, and faceto-face master courses that transcend plug-and-play industry norms;
Securing comprehensive accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission to launch
fully-online programs at MMCC;
Serving as a conference chair and planner for both national and state-level events related to
LMS pedagogy and other educational technology topics;
Creating & chairing the Action Committee Coordinating Electronic Student Services
(ACCESS), resulting in use of screen-sharing & other technologies for student & academic
support services such as advising, placement testing, etc.
