ORACLE FAQ

ORACLE HOSPITALITY INTEGRATIONS

Frequently Asked Questions
As MICROS transitions to Oracle Hospitality, integral to our ability to continue to offer innovative, end-to-end
solutions to customers is our network of integration partners. As part of the combination of MICROS and Oracle,
we also are evolving the legacy MICROS partner integration programs. We are transitioning from several
regionalized, verticalized programs into a single, global integration program focused on delivering strategic
integrations that solve market needs.

Q: What is the Oracle Hospitality Integrations program?

A:

The Oracle Hospitality Integrations program is intended for Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) looking to
integrate with Oracle Hospitality solutions. These are repeatable solutions, produced by the ISV utilizing
Oracle Hospitalitys APIs, intended by the ISV to be offered to their customers.

Q: What if I am looking to create a customized interface to be used only for a specific customer?
A:

Oracle Hospitality accepts requests for customer-initiated, single-use integrations to be approved at the sole
discretion of Oracle Hospitality. Application through the standard request form is still required, but, if approved,
the request will be routed through Oracle Consulting and scoped individually. The ISV will not be required to
join either the Oracle Hospitality Integrations program or OPN. If the integrated solution is intended to be
reused, Oracle asks that you apply to join the Oracle Hospitality Integrations program.

Q: What if I have already applied through the legacy MICROS Integration program or if I would like to

submit a request immediately?

A: The appropriate product strategy team is reviewing applications that have already been submitted and you will

be contacted on the status and any possible next steps. You may submit a request ahead of the release of the
Oracle Hospitality Integrations program through the Inquiry Form and an Oracle representative will contact you.
Q: I am interested in integrating with an Oracle MICROS product, how do I get started?
A: All partner and customer driven integrations are subject to review and acceptance according to an established

set of criteria. The criteria will soon be made available online, while the Inquiry Form is currently available for
requests.

ORACLE FAQ

The Inquiry Form is the first step for ISVs interested in integrating to Oracle Hospitality products. This is not an
application for joining the Oracle PartnerNetwork, which is an open program ISVs may choose to join at
anytime, rather it is specifically to determine if Oracle will move forward with the requested integration.
For customer-driven, one-time engagements, the Inquiry Form provides a vehicle for Oracle Hospitality to
approve the integration request to move forward directly with Oracle Consulting.
Q: Do I need to join Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN) in order to integrate with Oracle Hospitality products?
A: Oracle PartnerNetwork is the prerequisite for any partner go-to-market engagement involving Oracle's products

and services and, should your application to the Hospitality Integrations program be approved, you will be
required to join OPN at the Gold Level or above. Application through Oracle Validated Integration or the Oracle
Cloud Marketplace programs (depending on the type of integration you are looking for) is then required prior to
starting integration.
Custom solutions developed for a single-use by a specific customer will not require OPN membership and will
be contracted directly with Oracle Consulting.
Q: Does Oracle Hospitality require cerification of an integration?
A: Certification is now referred to as "Validation." For ISVs interested in integrating to Oracle F&B, Hotel or

payment solutions to produce a repeatable solution to be offered to their customers, validation of on premise
integrations and Oracle-led testing of cloud integrations will be required. On-premise integrations will have their
solutions validated through the Oracle Validated Integration program, while cloud integrations are subject to a
curation review through the Oracle Cloud Marketplace. Please note that formal validation is not currently
available for cloud integrations.
Validation is not applicable in the case of single-use, custom-developed solutions built by Oracle Consulting.
Q: How much does integration and validation cost?
A: Upon launch of the Hospitality Integrations program, there will be three* fees associated for ISVs**:

- Oracle PartnerNetwork Membership: ISVs will be required to join at the Gold level or above. For more
information about OPN costs please visit:
OPN Membership Level Costs
- Oracle Validated Integration: for Hospitality Integrations, Oracle Validated Integration requires a program fee
of $4,500, which includes access to integration documentation as well as several programmatic and go-tomarket benefits provided during and after your validation.
- Consulting SOW: the type of integration requested will determine the length of the validation effort itself. The
cost for validation is $2,500 per day, with the number of days required dependent on the solution (typically
ranging from 3-7). Upon approval, Oracle Hospitality will help you determine the correct validation path to meet
your functional requirements.
Q. Will Oracle Hospitality resell my integrated solution?
A. ISVs are solely responsible for the sale and implementation of the integrated solution they produce. Oracle will

sell and support only the Oracle interfaces your solution may choose to utilize. Oracle retains the right to cease
sales of any Oracle Interface at any time. In the case that Oracle develops a custom integration for a specific
customer, Oracle retains the IP of that solution as well as the right to resell that solution in the future.
Q. Will Oracle Hospitality support my integrated solution?
A. Support for vendors will be offered both during the integration and Validation (included in the Consulting SOW)

and after the Validation (optional annual support agreement). More details will be available regarding support
options upon the release of the Hospitality Integrations program.
