An Open Letter from a High School Senior
Dear family, teachers, and friends,
As I am graduating in just a couple of months, I have a few
things I would like to tell all of you.
To my family:
Thank you for everything you have done for me. Of course, there
are not enough words to express how thankful and blessed I am
to have been raised by you. You all made me into the person I am
today. I think my brother even helped a little. I know that there are
going to be a lot of changes in the coming months, and you will
soon come to Rock Port High School for my last event, but seriously you have made my life amazing. You have let me experience
so much. We might disagree sometimes, but I know youre only
doing what you think is best for me. I think no more high school
will be a blessing in disguise for our family. Im not saying I wont
miss all of my activities that Im involved in because I know I will,
but Im also very excited to be able to spend all my holiday vacation time with my family.
To my teachers:
You have done so much for me, and you have watched me go
from the little girl with the super long hair to the high school senior
I am now. Most of you have probably seen me at best and at my
worst. You have seen me cry and be angry. You have seen me fail
and succeed. But thank you for always sticking by me and not giv-

ing up. I would not have been able to get through school without all
the help, support, M&Ms, and coloring books from Mrs. Farmer.
Some of my teachers even took time out of their lives and schedules to coach me throughout high school, and I am extremely grateful for that. The memories I made playing or running for you are
irreplaceable. I also want to apologize for my bad case of senioritis.
To my friends:
Wow. We have talked about me graduating for so long, I still
cant believe its happening. So much is about to change, and I
know its going to be sad, but I also hope that it is also going to be
good change. Just remember that I am only one call and 45 minutes
away. I am excited to start a new chapter in life, and I hope you are
excited for me. I will miss seeing all of you everyday and hanging
out every weekend, but Im so thankful for all the memories weve
already made. I know that were going to make so many more during this summer.
I know things will be different whether I want them to be or not. I
am just so thankful for all the support and love the community and
its members have given me throughout the years. Rock Port was an
amazing place to grow up, but I think it will be good for me to leave
for awhile. Even if Im only 45 minutes away.
Love,
A High School Senior.

Three words to describe
yourselfHillarious blunt and procrastinator
Most embarrassing moment?: The three times I shot
at the wrong hoop.
Advice to underclassmen?:
Dont procrastinate. Care for
your grades now so you wont
regret it when you actually
need good grades.
Where do you see yourself
in 10 years?
I see myself living in a city with a family of four, with two dogs and teaching
in a preschool classroom.
Biggest pet peeve?: Bad manners
When you leave RP what will you miss most?: The way that everyone
cared about everyone.
Best Advice you have ever gotten?; What ever you do, make sure it
makes you happy.
