A wide range of different origami has been
enjoyed in Japan since ancient times.

Star mark

With this pattern, you can fold a piece of paper

into the broad, beautiful petals of an iris blossom.

The letters in blue circles indicate the fold lines.

They are also shown on the practice sheet.

Fold in half along line A .

Fold the lower triangle

upward along line C .

Flatten out the folds.

Fold in half again along line B .

Unfold the triangle

back to its original position.

Turn over.

Flatten out the folds.

Open up the triangle.
Flatten the triangle to
obtain a square.

Fold the lower right

triangle in half,
folding upward along line D .

Flatten out the folds.

obtain a square.

Open up the triangle.

Fold along line E

to align the outer edge
of the paper onto the center line.

Crease the fold,

then unfold the triangle
back to its original position.

Pull the triangle folded

along line E ,
open up the fold,
and spread it out to the right.

Fold the left side

of the topmost layer
over to the right.

Flatten out the folds.

Fold along line F

to align the outer edge
of the paper onto the
center line.

Pull the triangle folded

along line F ,
open up the fold,
and spread it out to the right.

Flatten out the folds

topmost layer over to the right,

along lines I in the same manner.

Flatten out the folds.
