APPLICATION BOOKLET
GUIDELINES FOR STAFF RECRUITMENT
1. There are two separate forms of member and staff application. If you are applying to become a
member of SPE UI SC, please submit the member application form only. If you are applying
to become a staff of SPE UI SC, please submit both member and staff application form.
2. Fill out the questions listed on the application form.
3. Filled application form should be submitted in PDF format and sent to ui.spesc@gmail.com
with both the file name and email subject: Staff Application_Full Name_Batch_1st
Division_2nd Divisionbefore February 6th 2016, at 11.59PM.
4. For those who are applying for staff, you will be informed by the BoD of SPE UI SC 2016
regarding your interview schedule once you have submitted your application forms.
5. Interview will be held from February 9th until 13th 2016. Please prepare a motivation letter
containing your motivationin applying for your chosen divisions and expectationsof being a
staff of SPE UI SC(max. 500 words) and bring the hard copy of your motivation letter on the
interview day.
6. The results of member and staff open recruitment will be announced on SPE UI SCs social
medias and the letter of acceptance will be sent directly to your email.
7. New members of SPE UI SC should re-register themselves at SPE UI SC membership booth
(place will be informed soon) where there will also be an online registration to become the
member of SPE International.

Please explain briefly everything about SPE International and SPE UISC that
you know!
SPE International is a worldwide organization that has a big role in developing and
observing the production of Oil & Gas and also enhancing and shaping the skills of
professionals which are essentials. SPE International has expanded and welcomed all
engineers, scientists, from around the world including Indonesia which is named as
SPE UISC, to combine and share the knowledge of Oil & Gas for bettering our
nowadays society and reaching the full potential of what is needed to be in this
industry.
How and why do you become interested in the Oil and Gas Industry?
Oil and Gas Industry spark my interest when my sister (shes a member of IATMI
Indonesia) told me a story about what they do with oil & gas, specifically the versatility
of oil production in our society.
How and why do you become interested in SPE?
I read news about SPE in social media and SPE has captivated me because I like to
learn things and fulfill my desire to know more about Oil & Gas as well as enhance my
soft skills.
What knowledge do you currently have in Oil and Gas Industry?
The very basic knowledge like oil & gas extraction, production, utility and chemical
reaction that occurs during the process.

Secretary : Secretary plays a big role in administration such as writing minutes of

meeting, reports, etc.
Finance Division : Finance Division manages the cash-flow, makes an efficient budget
planning, and collects funds for the upcoming SPE UISCs programs
What kind of challenges do you expect to meet in the position you wish to
apply?
Secretary : The main challenge by being a secretary for me is to follow up and write
down every single details that are needed when it comes to meeting.
Finance Division : Plan an efficient budget and creative way to raise money.
How will you overcome these challenges?
By asking, exploring, realizationing the idea, and re-evaluating the result.
What benefit do you expect from being a staff of SPE?
Get to know more about the knowledge of Oil & Gas and my soft skills are enhanced
by working in a team.
Explain why we should accept you in the division that you apply.
Secretary : Im used to write/type any kind of passage in English so it shouldnt be a
big hindrance to this division.
Finance Division : Collecting funds is my newest passion, although this is new I really
want to learn the plan and process to get the funds.

Strengths
I love writing/typing in English and Im quite good at picking a right vocabulary
Im fully committed in what I do
Weaknesses
I love to finish my work quickly but at the same time too many tasks can cause me
stress and bring down my performance.
I get nervous when presenting ideas in front of the public.
I rarely express my thoughts in a large scale meeting because I hate and avoid
controversy.

Theres no such a thing as the biggest failure in my life because I see every failure
