Logan Wade Lerman (born January 19, 1992) is an American teen actor from California, best known for his latest
film, Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, which was released in theaters on February 12, 2010.
Lerman began appearing in television commercials in the mid 1990s, moving to work in feature films and television
in the early 2000s, when he starred on the series Jack & Bobby (2004-2005) and in the feature films The Butterfly
Effect (2004) and Hoot (2006). Lerman gained further recognition due to his role in the 2007 western 3:10 to Yuma,
as well as his work in the 2009 films Gamer and My One and Only.

Background
Lerman was born in Beverly Hills, California. His mother, Lisa (née Goldman), works as his manager, and his
father, Larry Lerman, is a businessman.[1] [2] He has two siblings, Lindsey and Lucas,[3] and attended Beverly Hills
High School.[4] Lerman is Jewish.[5] His family runs the orthotics and prosthetics company Lerman & Son; his
ancestors founded the company in Berlin in 1915, and moved to the United States because of the Nazi regime.[2] [6]
Lerman grew up as a self-described "film geek" and a "black sheep" among his family, most of whom work in the
medical profession.[7] [4] He has applied to study creative writing at New York University, and has expressed an
interest in writing, producing and directing.[8] [2] Lerman's favorite directors include Wes Anderson, Stanley
Kubrick, David Fincher and Peter Bogdanovich.[8]

Acting career
Lerman has stated that he had a passion for movies from a young age.[4] [8] He appeared in commercials in the
1990s,[9] and subsequently made his film debut in 2000's The Patriot, playing William Martin, one of the children of
Mel Gibson's character. The same year, he co-starred with Gibson again in What Women Want, playing Gibson's
character as a child. Lerman's next feature film roles were in 2001's Riding in Cars with Boys and the 2004 thriller
The Butterfly Effect, portraying younger versions of characters played by Adam Garcia and Ashton Kutcher,
respectively.[10]
Lerman's role in the 2003 made-for-television film A Painted House won him a Young Artist Award for Best
Performance by a Leading Young Actor in a television production. In 2004, he was cast in the television series, Jack
& Bobby, playing the title role of Robert "Bobby" McCallister, who was destined to become President of the United
States. The show ran on The WB Television Network during the 2004–2005 season, and was subsequently canceled,

though Lerman won another Young Artist Award for his performance.[11]
Continuing his feature film work, Lerman appeared in Hoot, in which he played the lead role of Roy Eberhardt. The
film opened on May 5, 2006, and won him a third Young Artist Award, this time for Best Performance in a Feature
Film - Leading Young Actor (2007).[12] In 2007, Lerman appeared in The Number 23, in which he played Robin
Sparrow, the son of Jim Carrey's character, Walter Sparrow. That year, he also appeared in the critically-acclaimed
western 3:10 to Yuma, where he played William Evans, the son of Christian Bale's character. For his work in 3:10 to
Yuma, Lerman was again nominated for the Young Artist Award - Best Performance in a Feature Film - Leading
Young Actor (2008). It was the second consecutive year he received a nomination in that category, although this
time he did not win.[13]
In 2008, Lerman played the role of The Kid in Meet Bill (his character is never referred to by name), and in 2009,
appeared in the science-fiction film Gamer, playing Simon, a teenage gamer who controls one of the characters in a
video game played with live human subjects; the film was released on September 4, 2009 in North America. Also
that summer, Lerman had a leading role in the Renée Zellweger comedy feature My One and Only, playing a teenage
version of George Hamilton - an aspiring writer who, after his parents abruptly split, accompanies his mother and
brother on a cross-country trip, eventually arriving in Hollywood.
Lerman played Percy Jackson in the 2010 film Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, based on the
book by Rick Riordan.[14] He was not familiar with the book series when he received the script for the film.[4]
Regarding the similarities between Lerman's character and Harry Potter, Lerman told an interviewer: "Honestly, my
character doesn't have much in common with Harry Potter besides the fact that he's an unlikely hero who's thrown
into a huge situation".[7] Lerman is signed to appear in two more Percy Jackson films, and has stated that he would
like to star in adaptations of all five books in the series.[4] [15]

Other work
Lerman is a friend of actor Dean Collins, who played his best friend on Jack & Bobby; they remained close after the
series' cancellation, and worked together again on Hoot, where Collins had a supporting role. In their spare time, the
two collaborated on comedic short films. As well as acting, they wrote, directed, and shot the videos, often enlisting
the help of family and friends. The shorts were uploaded to YouTube under the joint account name of
"monkeynuts1069 [16]".[17]
In 2006, Collins and Lerman formed a band, Indigo, along with musician Daniel Pashman; Collins sings lead vocals,
Lerman plays keyboard, and Pashman plays guitar and drums.[2] Lerman also plays the piano and the guitar.[18]

February 7, 1978
Cedar Rapids, Iowa, U.S.

Occupation Actor/Producer

Years active 1998–present

Spouse(s) Demi Moore (2005-present)

Christopher Ashton Kutcher (pronounced /ˈkʊtʃər/; born February 7, 1978), best known as Ashton Kutcher, is an
American film actor, television actor, producer and former fashion model, best-known for playing Michael Kelso in
the Fox sitcom That '70s Show. He created, produced and hosted Punk'd. He played lead roles in such films as Dude,
Where's My Car?, Just Married, The Butterfly Effect, The Guardian, and What Happens in Vegas.
He is also the producer and co-creator of the supernatural TV show Room 401 and the reality TV show Beauty and
the Geek. He is married to actress Demi Moore. As of April 2009, Kutcher is the most followed user on the
social-networking site Twitter.[1]

Early life
Kutcher was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Larry Kutcher, a worker at a General Mills factory, and Diane (née
Finnegan), a Procter & Gamble worker.[2] [3] [4] He is of part Irish ancestry on his mother's side.[3] Kutcher was
raised in a Catholic family.[5] [6] Kutcher has an older sister, Tausha, and a fraternal twin, Michael, who had a heart
transplant when the brothers were young children. Kutcher attended Washington High School in Cedar Rapids for
his freshman year, before his family moved to Tiffin, Iowa, where he attended Clear Creek-Amana High School. In
high school he played on the football team as a wide receiver and appeared in school plays.[7] However, his brother
suffering from cardiomyopathy caused his home life to become increasingly stressful. He has stated that "I didn't
want to come home and find more bad news about my brother" and "kept myself so busy that I didn't allow myself to
feel".[8] Kutcher admitted that during adolescence, he contemplated committing suicide. At thirteen, he attempted to
jump from a Cedar Rapids hospital balcony, with his father intervening in the incident.[9] Kutcher's home life
worsened as his parents divorced when he was sixteen. During his senior year, he broke into his high school at
midnight with his cousin in an attempt to steal money; he was arrested leaving the scene. Kutcher was convicted of
third-degree burglary and sentenced to three years' probation and 180 hours of community service. Kutcher stated
that although the experience "straightened him out", he lost his girlfriend and anticipated college scholarships, and he
was ostracized at school and in his community.[7]
Kutcher enrolled at the University of Iowa in August 1996, where he majored in biochemical engineering, motivated
by the desire to find a cure for his brother's heart ailment.[4] At college, Kutcher was kicked out of his apartment for
Ashton Kutcher 6

being too "noisy" and "wild".[10] Kutcher stated, "I thought I knew everything but I didn't have a clue. I was
partying, and I woke up many mornings not knowing what I had done the night before. I played way too hard. I am
amazed I am not dead."[11] He is a member of the Delta Chi fraternity. To earn money for his tuition, Kutcher
worked as a college summer hire in the cereal department for the General Mills plant in Cedar Rapids, and
sometimes donated blood for money.[12] During his time at UI he was approached by a scout at a bar called "The
Airliner" in Iowa City and was recruited to enter the "Fresh Faces of Iowa" modeling competition. After placing
first, he dropped out of college and won a trip to New York City to the International Modeling and Talent
Association (IMTA) Convention. Following his stay in New York City Ashton returned to Cedar Rapids before
relocating to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting.[10]

Career
After participating as a modeling contestant in an IMTA competition (losing to Josh Duhamel) in 1998, Kutcher
signed with the Next modeling agency in New York, appeared in ads for Calvin Klein, modeled in Paris and Milan,
and appeared in a Pizza Hut commercial.
After some success in modeling, Kutcher moved to Los Angeles and, after his first audition, was cast as Michael
Kelso in the television series That '70s Show, which debuted in 1998 and ended in 2006. Kutcher was cast in a series
of film roles; although he auditioned but was not cast for the role of Danny Walker in Pearl Harbor (2001),[13] he
starred in several comedy films, including Dude, Where's My Car? (2000), Just Married (2003), and Guess Who
(2005). He briefly appeared in the 2004 family film, Cheaper By The Dozen, playing a self-obsessed actor. His 2004
film The Butterfly Effect was an unusually dramatic role for Kutcher, playing a conflicted young man who fell in
love with a girl called Kayleigh; the film received mixed to negative reviews, but was a box-office success.[7]
In 2003, Kutcher produced and starred in his own series on MTV's Punk'd as the host. The series involved various
hidden camera tricks performed on celebrities. Kutcher is also an executive producer of the reality television shows
Beauty and the Geek, Adventures in Hollyhood (based around the rap group Three 6 Mafia), and The Real Wedding
Crashers and the game show Opportunity Knocks. Many of his production credits, including Punk'd, come through
Katalyst Films, a production company he runs with partner Jason Goldberg.[14]
Because of scheduling conflicts with the filming of The Guardian, Ashton was forced not to renew his contract for
the eighth and final season of That 70s Show, although he did appear in the first four episodes of it (credited as a
special guest star) and returned for the show's series finale.[7]
Kutcher was part of the management team for Ooma, a tech start-up launched in September 2007. Ooma is in the
Voice over Internet Protocol business and Ashton's role was as Creative Director. He was spearheading a marketing
campaign and producing viral videos to promote this service. Kutcher has also created an interactive arm of Katalyst
called Katalyst Media with his partner from Katalyst Films, Jason Goldberg. Their first site is the animated cartoon
Blah Girls. [15] Ooma revamped its sales and marketing strategy with a new management team in the summer of
2008, replacing Ashton Kutcher as their creative director. Rich Buchanan, from Sling Media, became Ooma's Chief
Marketing Officer.
Kutcher is due to produce and star in the action comedy, Five Killers, in which he will play a hitman.[16]
Ashton Kutcher 7

Personal life
Kutcher dated actresses January Jones (from 1998 to 2001), Ashley
Scott (from 2001 to 2002), Monet Mazur (2002), and Brittany Murphy
(from 2002 to 2003). Following his break-up with Murphy in early
2003, Kutcher began dating Demi Moore. Moore and Kutcher married
on September 24, 2005 in a private ceremony conducted by a rabbi of
the Kabbalah Centre; the wedding was attended by about 100 close
friends and family of the couple, including Bruce Willis, Moore's
ex-husband.[17]
Kutcher and Moore, September 2008
Kutcher has invested in an Italian restaurant, Dolce[7] (other owners
include Masterson and Valderrama) and a Japanese-themed restaurant
named Geisha House located in Atlanta and Los Angeles. Kutcher is a Chelsea F.C. fan.[18]
Kutcher is a self described fiscal conservative and social liberal.[19]
In September 2008, Kutcher was named the assistant coach for the freshman football team at Harvard-Westlake
School in Los Angeles. However, he was unable to return in 2009 because he was filming Spread.[20] [21]

Twitter presence
On April 16, 2009, Kutcher ("aplusk") became the first user of Twitter to have more than 1,000,000 followers,[1]
beating out CNN in the "Million followers contest".[22] [23] [24] Kutcher announced via Twitter that he would be
donating $100,000 to a charity to fight malaria. However, there have been several reports that Twitter manipulated
the contest's results by preventing users from "unfollowing" Kutcher or CNN.[25]

Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson (born 15 April 1990) is a British actress and model who rose to prominence
playing Hermione Granger, one of three starring roles in the Harry Potter film series. Watson was cast as Hermione
at the age of nine, having previously acted only in school plays.[3] From 2001 to 2009, she starred in six Harry Potter
films alongside Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint; she will return for the final two installments: the two parts of
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.[4] Watson's work on the Harry Potter series has earned her several awards
and more than £10 million.[5] She made her modelling debut for Burberry's Autumn/Winter campaign in 2009.
In 2007, Watson announced her involvement in two non-Harry Potter productions: the television adaptation of the
novel Ballet Shoes and an animated film, The Tale of Despereaux. Ballet Shoes was broadcast on 26 December 2007
to an audience of 5.2 million, and The Tale of Despereaux, based on the novel by Kate DiCamillo, was released in
2008 and grossed over US $70 million in worldwide sales.[6] [7]

Early life
Emma Watson was born in Paris, the daughter of British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson.[8] [9] Watson
has one French grandmother,[10] and lived in Paris until the age of five. Later, following her parents' divorce, she
moved with her mother and younger brother, Alex, to Oxfordshire.[8] From the age of six, Watson wanted to become
an actress,[11] and for a number of years she trained at the Oxford branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a part-time
theatre school where she studied singing, dancing and acting.[12] By the age of ten, she had performed in various
Stagecoach productions and school plays, including Arthur: The Young Years and The Happy Prince,[13] but she had
never acted professionally before the Harry Potter series. "I had no idea of the scale of the film series," she stated in
a 2007 interview with Parade; "if I had I would have been completely overwhelmed."[14]

Career

Harry Potter
In 1999, casting began for Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (released as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's
Stone in the United States), the film adaptation of British author J. K. Rowling's bestselling novel. Casting agents
found Watson through her Oxford theatre teacher,[11] and producers were impressed by her confidence. After eight
auditions,[15] producer David Heyman told Watson and fellow applicants Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint that they
had been cast for the roles of the schoolfriends Hermione Granger, Harry Potter and Ron Weasley respectively.
Rowling supported Watson from her first screen test.[11]
The release of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in 2001 was Watson's debut screen performance. The film
broke records for opening-day sales and opening-weekend takings and was the highest-grossing film of 2001.[16] [17]
Critics praised the performances of the three leads, often singling out Watson for particular acclaim; The Daily
Telegraph called her performance "admirable",[18] and IGN said she "stole the show".[19] Watson was nominated for
five awards for her performance in Philosopher's Stone, winning the Young Artist Award for Leading Young
Actress.[20]
A year later, Watson again starred as Hermione in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, the second installment
of the series. Although the film received mixed reviews, reviewers were positive about the lead actors' performances.
The Los Angeles Times said Watson and her peers had matured between films,[21] while The Times criticised director
Chris Columbus for "under-employing" Watson's hugely popular character.[22] Watson received an Otto Award from
the German magazine Bravo for her performance.[23]
In 2004, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban was released. Watson was appreciative of the more assertive role
Hermione played, calling her character "charismatic" and "a fantastic role to play".[24] Although critics panned
Radcliffe's performance, labelling him "wooden", they praised Watson; The New York Times lauded her
performance, saying "Luckily Mr. Radcliffe's blandness is offset by Ms. Watson's spiky impatience. Harry may show
off his expanding wizardly skills ... but Hermione ... earns the loudest applause with a decidedly unmagical punch to
Draco Malfoy's deserving nose."[25] Although Prisoner of Azkaban remains the lowest-grossing Harry Potter film as
of April 2009, Watson's personal performance won her two Otto Awards and the Child Performance of the Year
award from Total Film.[26] [27] [28]
With Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005), both Watson and the Harry Potter film series reached new
milestones. The film set records for a Harry Potter opening weekend, a non-May opening weekend in the US, and an
opening weekend in the UK. Critics praised the increasing maturity of Watson and her teenage co-stars; the New
York Times called her performance "touchingly earnest".[29] For Watson, much of the humour of the film sprang
from the tension among the three lead characters as they matured. She said, "I loved all the arguing. ... I think it's
much more realistic that they would argue and that there would be problems."[30] Nominated for three awards for
Goblet of Fire, Watson won a bronze Otto Award.[31] [32] [33] Later that year, Watson became the youngest person to
appear on the cover of Teen Vogue,[34] an appearance she reprised in August 2009.[35] In 2006, Watson played
Hermione in The Queen's Handbag, a special mini-episode of Harry Potter in celebration of Queen Elizabeth II's
80th birthday.[36]

The fifth film in the Harry Potter franchise, Harry Potter and the Order of the
Phoenix, was released in 2007. A huge financial success, the film set a record
worldwide opening-weekend gross of $332.7 million.[37] Watson won the
inaugural National Movie Award for Best Female Performance.[38] As the fame
of the actress and the series continued, Watson and fellow Harry Potter co-stars
Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint left imprints of their hands, feet and wands in
front of Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood on 9 July 2007.[39]

Despite the success of Order of the Phoenix, the future of the Harry Potter
franchise became surrounded in doubt, as all three lead actors were hesitant to
sign on to continue their roles for the final two episodes.[40] Radcliffe eventually
signed for the final films on 2 March 2007,[40] but Watson was considerably
more hesitant.[41] She explained that the decision was significant, as the films
represented a further four-year commitment to the role, but eventually conceded
that she "could never let [the role of] Hermione go",[42] signing for the role on 23 Watson signing autographs for fans
outside Grauman's Chinese Theatre,
March 2007.[43] In return for committing to the final films, Watson's pay was
2007
doubled to £2 million per film;[44] she concluded that "in the end, the pluses
outweighed the minuses".[14] Principal photography for the sixth film began in
late 2007, with Watson's part being filmed from 18 December to 17 May 2008.[45] [46]

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince premiered on 15 July 2009,[47] having been controversially delayed from
November 2008.[48] With the lead actors now in their late teens, critics were increasingly willing to review them on
the same level as the rest of the film's all-star cast, which the Los Angeles Times described as "a comprehensive
guide to contemporary UK acting".[49] The Washington Post felt Watson to have given "[her] most charming
performance to date",[50] while The Daily Telegraph described the lead actors as "newly-liberated and energized,
eager to give all they have to what's left of the series".[51]
Watson's filming for the final installment of the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, began
on 18 February 2009.[52] For financial and scripting reasons, the original book has been divided into two films which
will be shot back to back.[53] [54] Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows parts 1 and 2 are scheduled for release in
November 2010 and July 2011 respectively.[55]

Other acting work

Watson's first non-Potter role was the 2007 BBC film Ballet Shoes, an adaptation of the novel of the same title by
Noel Streatfeild.[56] [57] The film's director Sandra Goldbacher commented that Watson was "perfect" for the starring
role of aspiring actress Pauline Fossil: "She has a piercing, delicate aura that makes you want to gaze and gaze at
her."[58] Ballet Shoes was broadcast in the UK on Boxing Day 2007 to an audience of 5.7 million viewers, despite
generally poor reviews.[59] [60] [61] [62] [63]
Watson also lent her voice to the role of Princess Pea in the animated film The Tale of Despereaux, a children's
comedy starring Matthew Broderick.[64] The Tale of Despereaux was released in December 2008 and grossed $87
million worldwide.[6]
In April 2008, Watson was widely rumoured to have been cast as "Betsy" Bonaparte in an upcoming film titled
Napoleon and Betsy, but her official website denied that any commitment had been made and the film failed to
materialize.[65] [66] [67] Watson has chosen to focus on her education rather than pursuing other film or television
roles.[68]

Fashion and modelling

As she has grown older, Watson has become something of a fashion devotee, saying that she sees fashion as very
similar to art, which she studied in school. In September 2008, she told a blogger, "I've been focusing on art a lot,
and fashion's a great extension of that."[69]
In 2008, the British press reported that Watson was to replace Keira Knightley as the face of the fashion house
Chanel, but this was flatly denied by both parties.[70] [71] In June 2009, following several months of rumours, Watson
confirmed that she would be partnering Burberry as the face of their new campaign; she received an estimated
six-figure fee for modelling Burberry's Autumn/Winter 2009 collection.[72] [73] [74] She later appeared in Burberry's
2010 Spring/Summer campaign alongside her brother Alex, musicians George Craig and Matt Gilmour, and Max
Hurd.[75] [76]
In September 2009, Watson announced her involvement with People Tree, a Fair Trade fashion brand.[77] Watson
worked as a 'creative advisor' for People Tree to create a spring line of clothing, which was released in February
2010;[77] [78] the range featured styles inspired by southern France and the City of London.[79] [78] The collection,
described by The Times as "very clever" despite their "quiet hope that [she] would become tangled at the first
hemp-woven hurdle",[80] was widely publicised in tabloids such as You magazine, Heat Magazine, Teen Vogue,[81]
Cosmopolitan, and People. Watson, who was not paid for the collaboration,[75] admitted that competition for the
range was minimal,[80] but argued that "Fashion is a great way to empower people and give them skills; rather than
give cash to charity you can help people by buying the clothes they make and supporting things they take pride
in";[82] adding, "I think young people like me are becoming increasingly aware of the humanitarian issues
surrounding fast fashion and want to make good choices but there aren't many options out there."[80]

Personal life
Watson's extended family has grown as her divorced parents each have new
partners. Her father has a son, Toby, and identical twin girls, Nina and Lucy.[83]
Her mother's partner has two sons (Watson's stepbrothers), who "regularly stay
with her".[84] Watson's full brother, Alexander, has appeared as an extra in two
Harry Potter films,[76] and her half-sisters were cast as the young Pauline Fossil
in the BBC's Ballet Shoes adaptation.[83]

After moving to Oxford with her mother and brother, Watson attended The
Dragon School, an independent preparatory school, until June 2003 and then
moved to Headington School, an independent school for girls, also in Oxford.[8]
While on film sets, Watson and her peers were tutored for up to five hours a
day;[85] despite the focus on filming she maintained high academic standards. In
June 2006, Watson took GCSE examinations in 10 subjects, achieving eight A* Watson at the premiere of Harry
and two A grades;[86] [8] she was a target of friendly ridicule on the Harry Potter Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
set because of her straight-A exam results.[34] She received A grades in her 2008
A level examinations in English Literature, Geography and Art,[87] and in her 2007 AS (advanced subsidiary) level
in History of Art.[8]

After leaving school, Watson took a gap year[87] to film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows beginning in
February 2009,[54] but said she "definitely want[ed] to go to university".[68] Despite numerous contradictory news
stories, some from highly-reputable sources, claiming that she would "definitely" attend Trinity College,
Cambridge,[88] Columbia University,[89] [90] [91] Brown University or Yale University,[92] Watson was reluctant to
commit publicly to any one institution, saying that she would announce her decision first on her official website.[93]
In interviews with Jonathan Ross and David Letterman in July 2009, she confirmed that she was planning to study
liberal arts in the United States,[1] saying that – having missed so much school as a child for filming – the "broad
Emma Watson 15

curriculum" of American higher education appealed to her more than British universities, "where you have to just
choose one thing to study for three years".[15] In July 2009, after a second storm of rumour,[94] The Providence
Journal reported that Watson had "grudgingly admitted" that she had chosen Brown University, located in
Providence, Rhode Island.[95] [96] Watson defended her attempts to avoid announcing her choice of university –
accidentally slipped by Daniel Radcliffe and producer David Heyman,[97] [98] during interviews publicising the
release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and finally confirmed in September 2009 after the university's
academic year had started[99] – saying that she "want[ed] to be normal. ... I want to do it properly, like everyone else.
As long as I don't walk in and see ... Harry Potter posters everywhere, I'll be fine."[96]
Watson's work in the Harry Potter series has earned her more than £10 million,[5] and she has acknowledged she
will never have to work for money – in March 2009 she was ranked 6th on the Forbes list of "Most Valuable Young
Stars"[100] and in February 2010 was named as Hollywood's highest paid female star, having earned an estimated
£19 million in 2009.[101] However, she has declined to leave school to become a full-time actress, saying "People
can't understand why I don't want to ... but school life keeps me in touch with my friends. It keeps me in touch with
reality."[14] She has been positive about working as a child actress, saying her parents and colleagues helped make
her experience a positive one.[34] [84] [102] Watson enjoys a close friendship with her fellow Harry Potter stars Daniel
Radcliffe and Rupert Grint, describing them as a "unique support system" for the stresses of film work, and saying
that, after working with them for the ten years of the film series, "they really are like my siblings".[15]
Watson lists her interests as dancing, singing, field hockey,[103] [13] tennis, art[69] and fly fishing,[104] and she donates
to WTT (Wild Trout Trust).[105] [106] [107] She describes herself as "a bit of a feminist",[14] [84] and admires fellow
actors Johnny Depp and Julia Roberts.[108]

Hammersmith, London, England, United Kingdom

Occupation Actor

Years active 1999–present

Daniel Jacob Radcliffe[1] [2] (born 23 July 1989)[3] is an English actor, best known for playing Harry Potter in the
feature film series based on the popular book series. Radcliffe has also made appearances in stage productions and a
number of TV shows and films, including the ITV film My Boy Jack and the stage show Equus, for which he was
nominated for a Drama Desk Award.[4]

Early life
Daniel Radcliffe was born in Queen Charlotte's Hospital, Hammersmith, West London, England,[3] the only child of
Alan George Radcliffe, a literary agent, and Marcia Jeannine Gresham (née Marcia Gresham Jacobson), a casting
agent who was involved in several films for the BBC, including The Inspector Lynley Mysteries and, most recently,
Walk Away And I Stumble.[5] [6] Radcliffe's mother is Jewish and a native of Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex (her family's
surname was Anglicised from "Gershon");[6] [7] [8] his father is Protestant and originally from Northern Ireland.[9] [10]
Radcliffe first expressed a desire to act at the age of five.[11] In December 1999, he made his acting debut in the
BBC's televised two-part adaptation of the Charles Dickens novel David Copperfield, portraying the title character as
a young boy.[12]

Career
Radcliffe was asked to audition for the role of Harry Potter in 2000 by producer David Heyman, while in attendance
at a London production of Stones in His Pockets.[13] [14] In August of that year, after several auditions, he was
selected to play the role in the big-budget adaptation of the award-winning book series by J.K. Rowling. Rowling
herself also approved of this selection: "Having seen Dan Radcliffe's screen test I don't think Chris Columbus could
have found a better Harry".[15] Radcliffe made his film debut in 2001 with a supporting role alongside Pierce
Brosnan in The Tailor of Panama, and the first Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone was
released later that year.

Radcliffe has also starred in the five subsequent Harry Potter film
adaptations: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002),
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004), Harry Potter
and the Goblet of Fire (2005), Harry Potter and the Order of the
Phoenix (2007) and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
(2009). He has signed on[16] for the seventh, and eighth films;
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I and II, expected in
2010 and 2011. Radcliffe is 'very happy' that the decision has been
made to split the last film into two parts, as he doesn't believe that
anything should be cut out of the climactic book.[17] The films
continue to produce high box office results worldwide.

In 2002, Radcliffe appeared as a guest in the West End production

The Play What I Wrote directed by Kenneth Branagh (who
appeared with Radcliffe in Harry Potter and the Chamber of
Secrets as Professor Lockhart).[12] In 2006, he began to make the
transition from child to adult actor, appearing in the television
series Extras as a parody of himself, as well as filming the
independent Australian drama December Boys. The film, which
was filmed in six weeks[18] was released in North America by
Warner Bros. on 14 September 2007. Radcliffe worked with a
language coach for six months to perfect an Australian accent.[18] Radcliffe in July 2009

He took the role because he wanted to appear in a film in which he

played a supporting role rather than the central character.[19] Next, Radcliffe opened on 27 February 2007 in a
revival of Peter Shaffer's play Equus as Alan Strang, a stable boy who has an obsession with horses. The role
generated significant pre-opening media interest and advance sales topped £2 million, as Radcliffe appeared nude in
one scene in the play.[20] Radcliffe's performance received positive reviews,[21] as critics were impressed by the
nuance and depth of his against-type role.[22] Radcliffe's last performance in Equus took place on 9 June 2007. The
production then transferred to Broadway in New York City opening on 25 September 2008, where Radcliffe reprised
the role of Alan Strang along with Richard Griffiths, who was also in the Equus production in London and played
Vernon Dursley in the Harry Potter series.[23] [24] Prior to the play's opening he stated that he was nervous about
repeating the role on Broadway because he considered American audiences more discerning than those in
London.[25] During the summer of 2007, he filmed the ITV drama My Boy Jack, based upon the true story of
Rudyard Kipling's son's death in battle during the First World War, which aired in the UK on Remembrance Day
2007 and premiered in the United States on 20 April 2008.[18] [26] In the film, Radcliffe played Jack Kipling, a World
War I-era soldier and the son of author Rudyard Kipling.[27] [28] About the role, he stated:[29]

For many people my age, the First World War is just a topic in a history book. But I've always been
fascinated by the subject and think it's as relevant today as it ever was.
At the age of sixteen, Radcliffe became the youngest non-royal ever to have an individual portrait in Britain's
National Portrait Gallery. On 13 April 2006, his portrait, drawn by Stuart Pearson Wright, was unveiled as part of a
new exhibition opening at London's Royal National Theatre, then moved to the National Portrait Gallery where it
resides.[30] Radcliffe was fourteen at the time of the portrait's creation.
On 9 July 2007, Radcliffe and fellow Harry Potter cast members Rupert Grint and Emma Watson left imprints of
their hands, feet, and wands in front of Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood.[31]
It was announced in the New York Times on 28 December 2007 that Radcliffe will portray deceased photojournalist
Dan Eldon in an upcoming biopic entitled Journey or The Journey is the Destination.[32] Eldon's mother, Kathy,
Daniel Radcliffe 24

personally chose Radcliffe over other actors such as Heath Ledger, Ryan Phillippe and Joaquin Phoenix, noting
Radcliffe's "puckishness, sense of humour and energy" as similar to her son's.[33]

Personal life
Radcliffe previously attended the independent Sussex House School, an
all-boys school,[34] and for his AS levels the independent City of London
School.[18] He achieved A grades in the three AS-levels he sat in 2006, but
then decided to take a break from education.[35]
Radcliffe has stated that he is an atheist,[36] as well as that he is "very proud
of being Jewish."[37] [38] [39] He is a fan of punk rock music and admires a
diverse lineup of bands, from Sex Pistols and The Libertines to Arctic
Monkeys and more recently Hard-Fi,[40] Jack Peñate and Kate Nash.[41] His
favourite band is The Hold Steady.[42] In November 2007, Radcliffe
published several poems under the pen name Jacob Gershon.[37] [43] In a 2009
issue of Attitude, Radcliffe announced his support for the Liberal Democrat
party.[44]

Radcliffe appeared on the Sunday Times Rich List in 2006, which estimated
his personal fortune to be GB£14 million, making him one of the richest Radcliffe at the 2008 BAFTA Awards
young people in the United Kingdom.[45] He made another appearance on the
British young people's rich list in 2007, which placed him as the thirty-third richest young person in Britain with an
estimated wealth of £17 million.[46] He is reported to have earned approximately £250,000 for the first Potter film,
around £5.6 million for the fourth film, and more than £8 million for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
Despite his wealth, Radcliffe has said he does not have expensive tastes. Radcliffe has said that his main expense is
books, as he "read[s] a lot".[47]

Radcliffe has been a supporter of various charities, including Demelza House Children's Hospice in Sittingbourne,
Kent, to which he has requested fans make donations in lieu of birthday presents. In February 2005, Radcliffe put a
"Hogwarts Crew" T-shirt which he autographed up for auction to help raise money for the Tsunami victims in 2005.
His T-shirt was part of the Tsunami Clothes Auction which raised money for the Rebuilding Sri Lanka Organization.
He wore the t-shirt during the making of the film, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. These T-shirts were only
issued to members of the cast and crew. His shirt raised £520 or $811.80.
Although heterosexual, Radcliffe also positions himself as a gay rights activist by speaking out against homophobia
and has recently filmed a public service announcement for The Trevor Project promoting awareness around gay teen
suicide prevention.[48] [49] He also contributes financially to the work done by The Trevor Project to this end.[50] [51]
He has become a keen follower of cricket[52] and attended the first England v India test match on his 18th birthday.
He queued up for the autographs of Indian batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar and English opening batsman Andrew
Strauss at the end of the final day's play.[53] Regarding this, he stated:[54]
I was telling people in a recent interview that I had a dream that Andrew Strauss was chasing me with a
cricket bat. It was during the West Indies series when Andrew wasn’t doing too well and an Australian
who was listening in piped up and said, "I wouldn’t worry about Strauss, if he had a swing at you at the
moment he’d probably miss".
Radcliffe has stated that he suffers from a mild form of the neurological disorder dyspraxia.[55]

Years active 2001 – present

Rupert Alexander Lloyd Grint[1] (born 24 August 1988) is an English actor best known for portraying Ron
Weasley in the Harry Potter films. In December 2007, Grint was ranked #16 in the list of Forbes Top twenty earners
under 25 with an annual earning of $4 million (US).

Early life
Grint was born in Harlow, Essex and grew up in Hertfordshire. His mother, Joanne Grint (née Parsons), is a
housewife, and his father, Nigel Grint, is a memorabilia dealer.[2] He has one brother, James (born in 1990), and
three sisters: Georgina (born in 1993), Samantha (born in 1996) and Charlotte (born in 1998). Before being cast in
Harry Potter, he had only appeared in plays for school and his local theatre group, Top Hat Stage School. As a
young child, he was once cast as a fish in a play based on the story of Noah's Ark. He also played Rumpelstiltskin in
another school play. As a child, he also used to voluntarily help out in his local church as a bellringer.[3]

Career
A self-proclaimed fan of the Harry Potter book series, young Grint was interested in getting a role in the film. For
his audition, he sent a video he made of himself, in which he dressed as his drama teacher while rapping about how
much he wanted the part; Grint won the casting selection with the video. After completing the first Harry Potter
film, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, he appeared as science-whiz Alan A. Allen in the British film
Thunderpants (2002) which received little attention nor did anything for Grint's career and holds a 3.0/10 user rating
on IMDB. In 2002, 2004, 2005, 2007 and 2009 he again starred as Ron Weasley in the Potter sequels Harry Potter
and the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry
Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
Grint also starred in the coming-of-age story Driving Lessons with Laura Linney and Julie Walters (who acted as his
character's mother, Mrs Weasley, in the Harry Potter movies), which was released in the summer of 2006. Grint got
excellent reviews for his first leading role: the critics praised the realism he brought into the role of shy teenager Ben
Marshall, as well as his "riotous comedic timing" and "fantastic screen chemistry" with Walters.

Also known for his radio and television voice-over work, he appeared as Nigel Molesworth in the Baggy Trousers
series for BBC Radio 4[4] and voiced Peter Pan in a BBC documentary.
On 9 July 2007, Grint and fellow cast-mates Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson left imprints of their hands, feet
and wands in front of Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood.[5]
On 2 July 2008, it was announced that Grint would star in Cherrybomb, "a gritty thriller about two teenagers who get
into trouble when they both fall for a beautiful new girl in town".[6] Filming was wrapped up in late August 2008; on
5 December 2008, it was announced that the post-production was completed.[7]
In August 2008, it was announced that Grint is to star in comedy remake of 1993 French film Cible Emouvante,
titled Wild Target, alongside Bill Nighy and Emily Blunt.[8] Grint's character is called Tony. The filming for Wild
Target wrapped up on 27 September 2008 and as of mid-2009 the movie is in post-production.
While directing Prisoner of Azkaban, director Alfonso Cuarón said Grint is "the likely future star out of the
Hogwarts trio".[9]
He voiced Ron Weasley in the video game of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, as well as in the video
game of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
Rupert Grint was also praised by critics for his performance in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Michael
McGuire, a writer for the Examiner, had this to say about him:
I appreciated Rupert Grint for the first time. To me, he’s always been “that other guy” in the Potter
movies, but he truly steps forward in this edition and, if he keeps it up, he could be the one of the three
getting the best parts a decade from now.

Personal life
In July 2004, Grint finished Richard Hale School, taking his GCSE examinations. When not working, he enjoys
learning to ride the unicycle, drawing/sketching, watching Tottenham Hotspur and playing golf. Like the character
he portrays, Ron Weasley, he has stated that he has arachnophobia.[10]
Grint purchased an ice-cream van and then stated jokingly that if his career falls out after the end of the seven part
series, then he'll still have the van. According to his co-star Emma Watson from her interview with Conan O'Brien,
the van has all the toppings and such in it.[11] [12]
In September 2007, Grint and his co-stars, along with David Heyman and David Yates, attended the National Movie
Awards. He lost to his co-star Daniel Radcliffe for Best Actor.
Hair care company Brylcreem released a list of the best and worst male hairstyles of the celebrity world in 2007
putting Rupert Grint's haircut with the Top 5 Best Male Film Star haircuts and his co-star, Daniel Radcliffe, in the
Top 5 Worst Male Film Star haircuts.[13]
Daniel Radcliffe stated in Empire magazine (August 2008) that although he and Emma Watson have had
disagreements, it was impossible to fall out with Grint as he is "the most laid back guy in the world."

William Moseley

Born William Peter Moseley

27 April 1987
Sheepscombe, England

Occupation Actor

Years active 1998–present

William Peter Moseley[1] (born 27 April 1987) is an English actor, currently best known for appearing as Peter
Pevensie in the The Chronicles of Narnia film series. Previously he had a small role as Forrester in a 2002 adaptation
of the novel Goodbye Mr. Chips, and had appeared as an extra in Cider with Rosie (1998).

Life and career

Moseley was born in Sheepscombe, Gloucestershire, England in the Cotswolds. His parents are Julie and Peter
Moseley, who is a cinematographer.[2] He has two younger siblings: Daisy (born 1989) and Benjamin Mosely (born
1992). Moseley attended Sheepscombe Primary School from September 1991 to July 1998, and then continued his
education at Marling Grammar School, Stroud and then went to Downfield 6th Form Block (which is part of Marling
School and it's next door neighbour Stroud High School). As a 7-year-old, he used to listen to the Chronicles of
Narnia audio tapes. He read the books eight years later in preparation for his role as Peter Pevensie in the film
adaptation The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe in 2005. He had to repeat Year 12
because he had taken so much time off school while filming The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the
Wardrobe. Casting director Pippa Hall was responsible for casting William as an extra when she was filling roles for
Cider with Rosie (TV) back in 1998. Seven years later, when casting for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the
Witch and the Wardrobe in 2005, she remembered him and recommended him for the role of Peter. From the first
day of auditioning for the role of Peter Pevensie in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
it took a further eighteen months before he officially won the role and was cast. He is close friends with Narnia
co-stars Anna Popplewell, Georgie Henley, Skandar Keynes and Ben Barnes.
