My Critical practiceCleaning the left side

Risk taking while you practice will give you knowledge and confidence
and control over yoga .

1. In Mumbai 10-15 years children lured me to doing hand somesault and

breaking the hands was a possibilty neverthless I did that.
2. Once while doing supta kukutasana I fell down and left eyebrow was
injured
3. I fell down many times doing brischikasana
4. Samanjaya practice with vijay was like risking your hands
5. Many times I fell down on ekparsva uthita padmasana
6. Risking the head was there in kamani practice
7. Ayengar postures were different and possible only with shisrshasana with
hand stand.
Timing of practice was also a big question as I did 3 hrs a day.But all these are
risk factors we always adhere to in yoga.
All those I worked while taking risks and succeeded.
We get blocks in left side on three junctures.
1. Nose
2. Heart
3. Bowl
and Hath yoga focusses on knowing the air(prana) operating
there. That we call controlling the pranic energy. In GGM Dr Praveen
Kapadia our yoga sir got heart problem due to over eating of sweets
and milk cream regularly.
So eating in the night like curd and icecream may block your nose and
ultimately your heart.

For nose we do neti and last night I was very tired for a yoga practice
and slept by 7.30 pm and got up by 9.30pm and found my nose
blocked.I got alarmed because left side block primarily leads to heart
blockage.
I started some warm up exercises.but found still my left nostril was blocked
and I did my Shishasana for atleast for 2 minutes and then I could clearly find
pressure on my heart. But divine life society clearly instructed that heart
problem is solved by shirshasana and very confidently I continued with my
shirshasana practice.after a 25 minutes of other postures I could find my left
nostril open up and I found it relaxation for a sleep.
Already we have discussed how to clear the bowl, drinking water, warm lemon
water, trifala powder in the night and doing sankha prakshyalan etc.
Even night your food intake should be conducive for a clean up in the morning.

CULTIVATING LEADERSHIP
Leadership is an action, not a word. Richard P.Cooley
Ask people which qualities are essential for a leader to posses
and they will
probably list enthusiasm, a sense of humour, sincerity, the eage
rness to learn,
dependability, and other similar qualities. Different people will list the
qualities in a
different order of importance, but you can be sure that a sense
of humour will
always be high on the list.
You must have noticed that I have placed enthusiasm as the first es
sential quality
for leadership. But enthusiasm can lead you astray if it is not temper
ed by a sense
of humour. Without this, an enthusiastic person may grow into
a fanatic. And
fanatics,

The Three Bones
If you are wondering what laughter has to do with leadership, let m
e tell you the
story of the Irishman who gave this advice to his son who was leavin
g home to seek
his fortune in the world.
He said, Remember the three bones and you will always succeed.
Can you guess
which three bones he referred to?
The first is the WISHBONE it keeps you wanting the good things of li
fe.
The second is the JAWBONE it helps you to find out how to get the
m, if you are
not too proud to ask questions.
The third is the BACKBONE it keeps you going after what you wa
nt, in spite of

discouragement, until you get it.

My yesterdays practice
1. 6 kms running
2. 1 hour yoga class
3. 30 minutes yoga practice morning
4. 25 minutes practice in the night.
