My work experiences center on the development of new markets, or improvement of existing
markets, for the sale of capital equipment, engineered parts and services. With international markets
the appointment and training of suitable local agents/distributors, regular visits to monitor and motivate
the agents; in order to achieve acceptable results.
Achievements:
- New Business Development: UK Capital Equipment Company into EEMEA & Asia, sourcing and
appointing agents/distributors. Training staff and Developing new markets from zero.
- 3 companies in South Africa from start-up to hand-over. Including site layout, hiring and training
of staff, operational procedures through to planned profit levels.
- Moenus Group, Germany – Improve agency network in Asia, by appointing new agents and
motivating existing agents to be more proactive, in the selling of capital equipment. Increase
success rate of business, bringing sales levels up to EURO 20mil in first year and doubling that in
second year. Spending about 80% of the time in the markets of Asia.
- Euroasiatic Jaya, Indonesia – Hiring, training and developing new local sales staff. Obtain
additional representations of Europe capital equipment machinery companies for Indonesia.
Increase margins to about 15% with turnover of EURO 12mil/annum.
- Phoenix Textile Agencies – Partner in starting new trading company in capital equipment. Obtain
high profile representations for Southern Africa, promotion of new products/machinery, training
staff. Bring income to acceptable level and profit for the partners.
