baptized even He knows that He is greater than John the Baptist. He was baptized
among with the people just like a human being.

- The manifestation of God the Father in Jesus baptism was a voice coming from
heaven saying, 'You are my Son; today have I fatheredyou' which was heard after the
dove descended to Him.

- The forerunner of Jesus was John the Baptist when he said that 'I baptize you
with water, but someone is coming, who is more powerful than me, and I am not fit to
undo the strap of his sandals; he will baptize you with the Holy Spiritand fire. He
precedes the coming of God the Father who will baptize Jesus with the Holy Spirit and
fire.

- After Jesus was baptized, it was not really Him who baptizes but it is His

9.) REFLECTION: What is the meaning of your own baptism for you?
The baptism is the one sacrament that all Christian denominations share in
common. For me, my baptism submits the faith of my parents and Godparents who
brought me to the Catholic Church to be baptize. Theyre faith that wanted me to be free
from the original sin we were born with. As an infant, it is their first step to nourish my
faith and the start as being a member of the church to be a responsible to do my
responsibility as a part of the Catholic Church.
