CNN once stated that sleeping in Seoul is for losers.

With so much to do in Korea's capital after sundown,
they argued, hitting the pillow could only be a waste of time.
For Seoul is a new world at night: as its glittering lights pop on to
hail the onset of evening, a whole other urban landscape awakes
where shining shopping malls, steamy saunas, and lively clubs
and bars can be enjoyed round the clock. Relish the refreshing
breeze while cycling along the riverbanks at night, and when
hunger calls, enjoy a generous and delicious late night meal.
Seoul the city that never sleeps shows a beautiful new side
at night, and is full of shimmering and mesmerizing lights.

There was a full moon over the Cheonggyecheon Stream, where many
different people from different backgrounds were passing by and
enjoying one of the last warm nights of the year. There were office
employees who had come here to relax after a busy day. Children were
playing near the water accompanied by their parents, who were busy
worrying they didnt fall into the gushing stream. Beautiful young
couples, completely in love, were engulfed within their own universe and
not paying attention to anyone besides themselves. Birds were flying in

Straight from a 4-hour flight we are all tired and starving. So we started our

Seonyudo Park
The favorite spot in Seoul for photographers.
This ecological park was formerly a water

remodeled. Remnants of its earlier life remain
in the form of crumbling cement structures
sitting in between water channels, an
assortment of plants, and a small forest, all of
which combine to arouse a peculiar sense of
feeling. Sunsets are especially ideal visiting
times, when the red of the sun tinges the sky.

Hongdae is not only worth a visit during the daytime. If you are up for
some good parties, delicious drinks or just a cool night out, you should
definitely consider Hongdae as a great choice. Even more fascinating
is the artistic vibe you will experience while staying at the Hongdae
childrens playground, where young singers, bands and dancers try to
entertain the crowd with their talent. You can just forget about your
worries and enjoy the contagious enthusiasm with friendly strangers,
who, perchance, buy you some food or drink and become new friends.

Itaewon

Vibrant,
Multicultural
Fun for
Night Owls

Itaewon is home to much of Seouls international community as it houses the United

States Army Garrison, many overseas
ambassadorial quarters, and the Seoul
Central Mosque, the only Muslim temple in
the city. There are also various international
restaurants and shops selling all kinds of
foods and wares. It is ideal for night owls,
offering a variety of options available till
late at night through its many high-quality
restaurants, bars, and clubs.

Clubbing in
Itaewon

Recommended Course
Dinner at an exotic restaurant
Strut your stuff at a night club or be cool at a jazz bar

Relax at a jjimjilbang (Korean spa), or Korean sauna

Expect to find more foreign clientele at Itaewons clubs than elsewhere. Revelers tend
to be mostly in their late 20s or above, and
clubs adopt a freer dress code and manner
compared to those in Gangnam. Halloween
is an especially-recommended time to visit
as most establishments will cater to the
occasion, with clubbers costuming up in
suitable attire, from brain-dead zombies to
Korean-style monsters, and creating a
festive mood across the district.

Itaewons character can be crazy, noisy and pricey, but it is also festive,
international, fun, and of course, touristy. And tonight, during our
discovery, it was all that! In Itaewon, everyone is welcome.
This place doesnt choose or discriminate against you, no matter what
language you speak, no matter what the color of your skin is, or no
matter what country you are from. Itaewon doesnt try to define you.
Its up to you to define Itaewon.

Gangnam
Style
Nightlife for
Trendsetters

The famous Gangnam region of Seoul consists

of locally well-known districts Apgujeong-dong,
Cheongdam-dong, and Sinsa-dong, where can
be found high-class restaurants and luxury
fashion brand shops, cafes and clubs frequented by local celebrities. Of course, it was
PSY who really put Gangnam on the map, and
thanks to Gangnam Style , it is now Seouls
most popular tourist area. Stop by Garosu-gil
in Sinsa-dong for brunch or dessert during the
day and then drop by one of the local clubs and
spend the night as if you were Beyonce, Lady
Gaga, or any major celebrity.

Recommended Course

Going to a Club
in Gangnam

Gangnams classy clubs are the destination

of choice for fashion-lovers and trendsetters
not to mention local famous figures - so
style and sophistication is a must. If you
are wearing sweatpants or flip flops, you
may not be allowed to enter. Admission is
generally higher here than clubs elsewhere in
Seoul, however these are the places to go to
truly experience Gangnam style.

Seoul, My Story
The first time I visited Gangnam, it was immediately obvious that this
place is where it all happens. You could spend a whole day just walking
around Coex Mall, nevermind the tree-lined shops and galleries of
Garosu-gil, the department stores of Apgujeong, or the boutiques of
Cheongdam. Of course night time is when it really comes to life when
theres a restaurant and bar for every taste and a hundred new people to
meet each night. They say Gangnam means south of the river, but its
definitely the center of the action for me!
