European Parliament: In Moldova political class is failed, crisis is continuous, and reforms
are not implemented
25.11.2015 The political situation of the Republic of Moldova is disappointing, and the parties that have come to government proved unprofessionalism, cowardice, wasting in this way the people's trust. This is the conclusion of many European leaders at the meeting of the European Parliament. The Republic of Moldova has transformed from a hard-working pupil into a country which is dominated just by chaos, declared Cristian Dan Preda, who outlined three causes which have strengthened the political crisis from country. First of all, one of factors is the increased influence of Russia on public opinion, but also the uncontrollable power of oligarchs who have grabbed certain political parties. Another reason would be the high level of corruption which has weakened the legal institutions. I think that we must involve to form an alternative for the Communists and Dodon's Socialists, emphasized the official. Besides these, the official recognized that he cannot talk about Moldova without Transnistria, indicating that, in fact, in a such restrained space exist two different societies, that have diametrically opposed visions. There are two societies that do not know what to do, I think we have to abandon them, they to create their own fate, also added Preda. The parties that came to power last autumn just have worsened the situation, bringing the country to total political instability. The officials also emphasized that it is praiseworthy that the people have come out on street to protest, requiring the dismissal of the Govern, of the Prosecutor, but also early elections. The arrest of the former prime minister, Vlad Filat, but also the dismissal of the Govern Strele through a motion of censure, demonstrates what a giant abyss has formed between people and the parties from the government. We must remind to Moldovans that our support is conditioned by achievement of key reforms. There have to be applied the justice reform and that of public administration, added the EU Commissioner, Christos Stylianides. At the same time, the high officials mentioned in one voice that the eradication of the phenomenon of corruption should be the first point in the daily agenda of Moldova, together with the modification of the judicial system and the clarification of situation regarding the robbery of billion. For four years multiple early elections and dismissed Governs and almost always corruption. This is already remarked by the political analysts who are in good relations with Moldova. Now we assist what the experts could call political failure. Moldova is an oligarchic state and it has always been a fail, and the political class is just a formal thing and activates just in an arbitrary way. What can we expect if the peaceful demonstrators are imprisoned and deprived of the right
to reply and opinion, said Helmut Scholz.
For some time past the things have started to go badly. The banking scandal has not been fully investigated even till now, the reforms are delayed, it is not surprising that the governs change like seasons. It is clear that this tension will explode, declared Petras Autreviius. The officials affirmed that in Moldova the current political class is failed, the situation is in a perpetual crisis, the reforms are not implemented, and the ones who have to suffer are the citizens, who pay exorbitant bills. It is the last chance for coalition. Any deadline has been overcome and it is the moment the political leaders to achieve reforms, added Andi Cristea, warning that the Republic of Moldova needs a new Executive, unblemished, that will efficiently apply the reforms, will fight against corruption and will bring in front of justice the responsible ones for the robbery of billion. Also, Bas Belder, tended to specify that black image of the political class from Chiinu is due to a single political leader, who has worsened the situation in such a way, so that the course of Moldova to the EU is flat out. http://jurnal.md/en/politic/2015/11/25/european-parliament-in-moldova-political-class-is-failedcrisis-is-continuous-and-reforms-are-not-implemented/
