A new concept in tiered reflector systems

glare and light trespass. In fact, unlike
most refractor and vertical lamp fixtures,

the Pedestrian ContraCline meets the IES

cutoft classilication for roadway

luminaires. AvailabLe in both a Type V
(symmetric) distribution for area lighting and

llt (asymmetric) distribut]on for roadway and pathway lighting, the Pedestrian
Contraoline is the practical choice for lower

Distributing Beflector

Prismatic Lens/Ref lector

is designed and positioned to reflect and
transmit light emanating from the bottom
section of the lamp. Approximately two
thirds of these lumens are reflected out in
lhe 67"-75" range. The remaining light is
transmitted down and out through the lens
ensuring that the lower portion of the enclosure glows evenly.

Top Reflector

cavity in this reflector ensures a soft even glow
on the top of the enclosure and allows access

ContraCline Optical System

ContraCline Family
With the original Washington ContraCline,
lvloldcast created the opportunity to provide
high quality area lighting from the traditiona
"acorn" form. This high performance

luminaire using HID lamps to 400 watts,

generates the high light levels public
spaces now require. The new Pedestrian

Contracline extends that concept for small

area, roadway, and pathway illumination.
This product line using medium base lamps

to 175 watts, otfers the superb performance

and excellent brightness control ol its big
brother from a more compact (and

moderately priced) housing.

additional reflector nserts to generate the LES Type I I medium distr bution. Both opt ca

Fitter/Ballast Compartment

A decorative cast a uminum fitter houses the e ectrical cornponents and supports the optical
asser.bly and globe. A cast side door is secured to the fitter wilh two (2) stainless steelfasten
ers and is easily removed for servicing the ba ast. The fitter s secured io the pole tenon wilh
four (4) 3/s' set screws.

Ballast
Each high power lactor ballast is ihe separate componenl type capable ol provjding reliab e
lamp starllng to -20" F. The ba lasl is mounted on a un tized tray wllh quick electr cal disconnects. Bal asts trav is easily removed for servic nq lhrough side door of filter.
