A Hymn About Him

Friday, January 15 - 7:00-9:00pm and

Saturday, January 16 - 9:00am-3:30pm

The Lord is not as concerned that you have a singing voice,

but that you have a song, a new song of praise to our
God. As we heard the Naples Christmas Spectacular,
we were reminded that the Christmas season is uniquely
marked by music. Believers carols are traditional, but also
an endangered species. Secular music stations are heavily
weighted toward Rudolph rather than the Redeemer, the
festive season over historical incarnation. Consequently,
churches that have Christ-centered Christmas presentations
are close to the heart of God, particularly because the Lord
has changed our lives. We offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is the fruit
of lips that give thanks to His Name (Hebrews 13:15).

This Ravi Zacharias event will be live-streamed from Atlanta into Room DC121.
Detailed schedules are available at the Connection Point. Please let us know
you plan to attend by emailing: RZIMConference@fbcn.org.

Mens Ministry

Band of Brothers Mens Ministry

Begins Wednesday, January 6 at 6:30pm in the Chapel

Nehemiah and Daniel

Two common men who exercised courageous influence that helped change the
course of the dark worlds in which they lived. For all men, 18 and up.

Worship music should be not only to the Lord, but also about Him, with
proclamation as well as praise. I thank God for music that is devotional but also
that which is doctrinal. We do well to remember the fascinating early hymn of
the church found in 1 Timothy 3:16 which helps us to understand the greatness
of the mystery of godliness.

Men and Boys Campout at Camp Cocohatchee

January 8 & 9

The cost is $15. For details, please contact Terry at tcole@fbcn.org or 572-3316.

Womens Ministry

There are six lines which closely resemble one another, each beginning with a
verb that has a similar ending. The verb and noun tense is the same, and it is
all a reference to Christ. This early Christmas carol or hymn affirmed that Jesus
was manifested in the flesh as a real Man in earthly existence (1 Timothy
1:15). He was vindicated by the Spirit at His baptism and as the Holy Spirit
worked through Him in His life and raised Him from the dead. His life was lived
in the power of the Spirit (Luke 4:1).

RefresHer Womens Ministry New Study

Begins Tuesday, Jan 5 at 9:00am or Wednesday, Jan 6 at 6:30pm

In the East Side of the Worship Center

All day, every day, an invisible war rages around you. If youre tired of being
pushed around and caught with your guard down, join us for this study The
Armor of God.

He was seen by angels at the time of their birth announcement to the shepherds
at Bethlehem, in His wilderness temptation, and throughout the rest of His life.
He is proclaimed among the nations in missions to remind us that the gospel
is for Gentiles as well as Jews. Therefore, He is believed on in the world as
the way of salvation. Being taken up to glory in His ascension, His ultimate
victory was assured.

Student Ministry

Saturday, January 2 at 7:30pm in the Student Center

Grades 6-12 are invited to this free event. Food will be provided and the comedy

Christmas is about a Savior, not a season. This Christmas lets joyfully sing and
proclaim Him in our worship services on the weekend and as you attend one of
our three Candlelight Christmas Eve services. As usual, we will sing carols,
have a childrens time, a time of meditation and a briefer biblical message. It will
be my joy once again to proclaim the ageless truths as we make a common
confession. Merry Christmas!
