Greetings from Rotaract Club !
Just to introduce us, Rotaract, started in 1968 in North Carolina, USA has grown into an
organization of over 9,539 clubs spread around the world and over 219,397 members. It is a
service, leadership and community service organization for young men and women which are
from different professional backgrounds viz entrepreneurs, professionals, students, etc and are
between the ages 1830. The purpose of Rotaract is to provide an opportunity for young men
and women to enhance the knowledge and skills in order to address the physical and social
needs of their communities and to promote better relations between all people worldwide
through a framework of friendship and service. Rotaract conducts many programs, which are
activities with a charitable purpose.
Like in the past, when Rotary & Rotaract Club in India along with the support of Government of
India eradicated Polio from India, now, Rotary & Rotaract Clubs of India have pledged in 2015 to
Make India a 100% Literate Country by 2018. Rotaractors of the Mohali club felt a strong need
of books, notebooks & stationary in the underprivileged sections of the society which get
deprived of such necessities.
With an objective to fulfill that gap, Rotaract Club of Mohali is organizing a first of its kind
event, a Book Donation Drive from 8th 12th September 2015 in Chandigarh Tricity
Region. The launch of this event will be held on 8th September 2015 which happens to be the
International Literacy Day.
Shri Vijay Kumar Dev, Advisor to the Administrator, Chandigarh Administration has been
invited to grace the occasion of Launch Ceremony which shall be held in Elante Mall on 8 th
September.
In this context, I am writing to invite . to associate with this event as the
Supporting Partner.
As the supporting partner, we need your support to spread the details of this event to all the
students/residents/employees of . . We will be putting up cartans here from 8 th
12th September and everyone can drop books, notebooks and stationery items in those cartans.
Our representatives shall be visiting each day to check the collections.
In return, we shall acknowledge the logo of on all our marketing collaterals.
At Rotaract Clubs, rotaractors are devoted in providing selfless service for the community. This is
an event with a purpose to bring about a positive change in the world and we need your support
to fulfill that purpose.
Any monetory support from your end shall be highly appreciable and would make a worthwhile
