General Information
Project Title: Kalusugan tungo sa magandang kinabukasan
Target Community/Beneficiaries: 4-8 years old Children of San Andres Day Care Center
in M. Rodriguez St. Brgy. La Huerta, Paranaque City
Community Background:

Malnutrition occurs mainly in families having limited access in nutritious food and living in
unhygienic conditions, which at risk in increasing of repeated infections.

Malnutrition is one of the problems faced by a lot of children in the barangay. In order for
them to grow and become good citizens someday, they must be provided with adequate
nutrition. Our Kalusugan tungo sa Magandang Kinabukasan Project aims to educate
every child the importance of eating healthy foods. The project addresses malnutrition by
teaching children why they need to eat nutritious foods and conducting a feeding
program.

We have decided to teach them lessons about the importance of eating healthy and at
the same time conduct a feeding program because educating them is not enough. They
need to try eating healthy foods and apply what they learn from the lesson.

The community also implemented safety measures in the people living there in regards
with those who struggled during calamities in their place. Our program can surely help
with this matter since we are giving those supplies and food in order for them to regain
their health and to know how to deal with these problems in the future.
