Thanks for listing Bridging the Gap

in this list! We've updated our free
course - it's now a 43-minute
audio course with a full-text
transcript. We find that people are
enjoying receiving all the
information at once (instead of
over the course of 8 emails) and
being able to absorb the
information in a way that suits
them best, whether that's reading
a print out or listening to an mp3.

Guess I found a good site. I have

been a BA, in reality, a reporting
analyst for over 4 years. I am in a
position where the reality of a BA
has hit me and I have been
learning a lot, the language, the
type of discussions, multiple
systems being impacted by
change/s to one, etc. I have found
myself straining to stay focused.
Last time I looked, I hadn't found
online material, short of spending
thousands on classroom courses,
that I could draw from. There are
good links on this page that I will
surely utilize..... starting today. I
am naturally moving into BSA role
but need to learn what you list
above to be what I an striving for. I
will be regular visitor.

translating business

which ones in
particular?

Stephanie, what are the prospects

of a career in BA after having a
huge gap of 3+ years?
I have a degree in Computer
Science Engineering and I am not
employed now because of visa
restrictions in USA.

Stephanie
Famuyide

Hello Jay, thanks for stopping by.

Id say your prospects are good
especially since you already have
a degree in Computer Science
Engineering.
If you don't have any experience
yet, one thing you could do is to
seek out projects (could be
voluntary work for a start) that
involve working on typical
business analysis tasks (Liaising
with stakeholders, eliciting
requirements, etc).
All the best.

Dear Sapna,
You can take a look at the
certification options
available at this link:

PMI also offers BA
certification, in case you'd
like to explore that too.
Hope this helps a bit.
