This looks like it's common to all WP7 phones, not just the Mozart but it's particularly annoying here because you
need to feed the Sim Card/Flex adapter under the battery, over the battery retaining clip and under the battery cover.
Very fiddly. Very easy to accidentally press the power button.
IF YOU PRESS THE POWER BUTTON INSTEAD OF VOL DOWN + CAMERA YOU WILL SOFT BRICK THE PHONE. IT WILL
BE STUCK IN USB HOST MODE.
Fortunately to fix the phone you just need the "special cable" with MicroSD reader from the WP7 upgrade kit, the Gold
Card you make in step A and the firmware for the phone you're working on.

Take the firmware .exe and extract the largest file (Ruu_signed.nbh or something similar)
Rename it using the same 4 letter naming convention that the DIAG file already on the goldcard with a IMG suffix e.g.
MOZAIMG.nbh
Copy it to the MicroSD. You can use the XTC Clip as a card reader. This is the slowest part of the procedure.
Delete the DIAG file
Put the MicroSD card in the "special cable" and plug it into the phone without pressing any particular buttons. This will
automatically reflash the phone with the possible bonus of debranding the phone.
Once the phone has booted up, you can proceed with trying to unlock it again.

Hope this helps.

You have to search for it. It's not technically legal to distribute firmware and there are many versions for different
regions.

I have a Mozart which was water damaged, after cleaning out i get "connect phone to PC" screen with windows phone
pic and cable and computer picture. I try to enter bootloader but it wont go into that mode, if i press Volume down &
Camera & Power it goes to tri-colour screen and then straight away goes to "USB Host Mode"
I try this method of flashing, all goes well, it flashes;
Radio - OK
Bootloader - OK

OS - OK
RCUST - OK

UPDATE SUCCESS
But then phone stays on this screen, if i pull battery out, and try and turn on i get HTC screen and in the corner it
says
BLDR 1.22.225
MODEM N/A
And then it just jumps back to the "Connect phone to PC" screen
Any ideas how to repair this please people or is this a board problem?
Many thanks in advance

if you get stuck in usb host mode , then just rename diag file created by xtc clip to img and then you can go to tri
colour screen and do flashing.
