This means that you can modify the current players to bring in new players t
o keep the teams as up to date as possible. I have omitted some player details
such as Captaincy, Star Players, etc. This is simply because if you choose more
than one player as captain for a team, or more than two star players for a team
, the game doesn't like it very much!!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------2. INSTRUCTIONS AND ADVICE
You do not need to create a backup of the teams.tem file in My Documents\EA
Sports\Cricket 2002\User because this is NOT the file which contains the raw tea
m information. Cricket 2002 makes this file when you choose "Save Teams" in the
"Squads" menu in the game, but until you do that the teams.tem file does not ex
ist.
When you are editing the players, the changes made to any player will not be
recorded until you press the SAVE CURRENT RECORD button. If you want to restor
e the teams back to the defaults, simply delete the teams.tem file in My Documen
ts\EA Sports... or choose RESTORE TEAMS from the "Squads" menu in the game.
Advice
-----I advise the following with regard to the use of this piece of software:
a) DO NOT make bowling averages too small beacuse you wont be able to see the bo
wling aim marker
b) DO NOT delete the file named Starts.dat
c) MAKE SURE that the directory you choose that you have installed Cricket 2002
(c) to is correct

If you have any comments or suggestions to improve the editor then let me kn
ow by email (hicksjam@ereal.net)
If you have any other problems then tell me, but do not do that before you h
ave read sections 2 and 4.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------4. KNOWN ISSUES
From the feedback that I have received from various users of the preceding v
ersions of my player editor, the following problems have come to light:
a) With certain operating systems (usually Windows XP) the program may produce a

program error to do with a file named comdlg32.ocx. It may either be that the
file included with the program is too old for your computer, or that it just doe
sn't recognise it. If this happens, firstly make sure that there is a file name
d comdlg32.ocx in the same folder as the editor.
If there is, try simply ren
aming the file and try running it then. If the comdlg32.ocx file is not in the f
older with the editor, check in the System folder of your version of Windows to
see if there is a file named comdlg32.ocx in there. If it is not there either,
try to obtain this file (there are links to help in the Cricket2002.tk Forum) a
nd place it in the same folder as the editor. If this still doesn't work, try p
utting the newly obtained file in the System Folder for your version of Windows.
b) If you do not supply the correct path for the location of the EA Sports Crick
et 2002 program, then the player faces and kit numbers will not show correctly.
If this happens, go to the folder where my Editor is located and delete the fil
e named InstallationPath.txt. When you run the program again, you will be promp
ted to select the installation directory of Cricket 2002. If you choose the cor
rect path, it should work.
