A SALES ANALYSIS
OF FOUNTAIN MACHINES IN SINGLE SCREEN
CINEMA THEATRES
IN BANGALORE
1. Market research on feasibility of fountain machines in SSC:I was part of the team which had conducted MARKETING RESEARCH to know viability of
installing fountain Machine in SSC. Some of the parameters on which we assessed the
viability of installing fountain machines in a SSC. EX- Locality, visitors, footfall, Interior,
price of the ticket, number of shows, etc. These are the Primary Data which i collected from
the market. This was my first task assingned to me from the company.
2. Gathering responses of the SSC owners by using questionnaire as an
instrument:We used to approach SSC owners by taking their prior appointment. Then we would
interview them based on parameters given in questionnaire. There are more then 16 Qus in
Questionnaire. But we have to restrict that we dont have to ask more then 4 Qus per person.
And Question shouldnt ask directly to the owner. First 2 days I was trained from
management trainee. Some of the Qus I asked from the canteen staff. And rest of the Qus I fill
from myself like ticket price, size of canteen, no of canteen, which brand they are selling.
Except beverage what they are selling. I have to aware them with the profit margin and easy
to serve. We provide combo plan to attract consumer. That combo plan is not same to the
other theatre. Combo plan is based on the sales of canteen. AND most important if Canteen
Owner will not satisfy with service & profit margin from fountain machine. Then you can
easily replace. You dont have to suffer any more.
3.Making proper analysis from the responses and coming to a solution:- With the help of
ASM Area Sales Manager, STL Sales Team Leader, SE Sales Executive from That area I
shared all the data with these senior and then we analyzed the Data which was collected by
me. After thoroughly studying the data we all decided to zeroed in On certain theatres based
on parameters such as locality in which the theatre is located, type of Visitors that frequent the
theatre, how many footfalls does it have, how is the decor of that particular Theatre, how
much does it cost to watch a film in the theatre, the number of shows it runs in a day.
4. Commercialize:- With the help of guidance I started selling fountain machine to those
theatres whom we have been selected. With the help of SE or STL I take appointment with
their flexible time. After working 1.5 months in coke I was well trained that how to talk& deal
with clients.
I Convert 4 theatres & company alloted me to convert me only 3 theatres.
