iPod Use & Care

Overview & Purpose:


Familiarize students with the buttons and functionality of an iPod.
Introduce the steps used to access audio and properly turn on and off. Use
sanitizing wipes to clean and buttons and headphones before putting away
in storage bag.

1.4 Give and follow three-and four-step oral directions. to locate information.
2.0 Reading Comprehension

Objectives:
• Build familiarity with buttons of iPod.
• Learn and review steps for turning on and off.
• Clean all materials with a sanitizing wipe.

• Move your thumb around the outside circle in a clockwise or counter


clockwise circle to select menu items.
• To select item press the CENTER BUTTON.

Steps to turn ON:


1. Switch the Hold Button off.
2. Press any button on the Click Wheel to turn the iPod on.
3. Press MENU.
4. Select MUSIC, AUDIO BOOK or PODCAST.
5. Select PLAYLIST.
6. Select title and or chapter of the book in use.
7. Prepare to listen and push PLAY.

Steps to turn OFF:


1. Press and hold PLAY/PAUSE button.
2. Slide the HOLD switch to reveal the orange bar.
