Liturgy

Sacred Places, Vessels and Vestments

• Paten - holds the big host
• Ciborium - contains the hosts for distribution to the faithful

• Thurible - swung on chains during the Mass, procession, and Eucharistic adoration
• Incense boat - container of the incense to be offered
• Monstrance - used to expose consecrated Host for the adoration.
• Altar cloth - placed on the altar for the Mass
• Purificator - used by the priest to dry his fingers and the chalice
• Corporal - to collect fragments of host

• Alb - symbolizes the innocence and purity that should adorn the soul of the priest
