The department of Mechanical Engineering, UNIKL MFI

College organized visits to Sapura Industrial Berhad , on 7th
October 2015 for Industrial Safety and Health students. Visit
was organized as per university guidelines and
recommendations regarding syllabus of Industrial Safety and
Health Subject.
Visit was organized with the prior permission and guidance of
honorable principal of HOD Prof. Dr. Wan Mansor Wan
Muhamad. DR. Ir. Raja Aziz Bin Raja Ma'arof along with
Lecturer En. Hanafi accompanied the students during visit.
Total 14 Industrial Safety and Health students and 2 staff
members visited the factory. Students departed the college for
visit on 7th October at 10:30 a.m. Morning visit was to Sapura
Industrial Berhad at 11:00 a.m.
Safety Officers Sapura Industrial was introduced the sessions
on safety policy. Group discussion was conducted to have
interaction between company employees and students in the
conference hall. The students were benefited in terms of
technical details provided by the company and other aspects of
the company.

After completing visits to the sites students returned back to

UNIKL MFI by 2:30 p.m. Visit was very informative and
students were well exposed to practical applications related to
syllabus.
Points studied in detail:
Identify the hazards.
Decide who might be harmed and how.
Evaluate the risks and decide on precautions.
Record the findings and implement them.

Students Feedback
Educational visit to Sapura Industrial Berhad organized by Department of Mechanical
Engineering was very informative. The guiding staff both college staff as well as site staff was
very supportive to all students.
We hope that this visit will help us in our future practical life and bring a positive change in our
thinking and practical behavior regarding education and specially engineering.
We, the students of Mechanical Engineering are extremely thankful to honorable HOD
Mechanical Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. Wan Mansor Wan Muhamad , DR. Ir. Raja Aziz
Bin Raja Ma'arof and all staff of Mechanical Engineering Department and the student
coordinators of the visit.
