CONCEPTOS GENERALES
Las preposiciones pueden realizar distintas funciones: Servir de enlace entre dos palabras o distintos
elementos en la oracin:
I'll see you at five o'clock / Te ver a las cinco
Pueden acompaar a un verbo sirviendo de enlace a su complemento. En este caso, pueden no
alterar el significado del verbo o alterarlo con lo que constituyen una palabra distinta.
To look / Mirar (no altera el significado del verbo)
To look after / Cuidar de (se altera el significado del verbo)
Cuando ponemos un verbo despus de una preposicin, en ingls normalmente se utiliza la
forma ' ing' y no el infinitivo.
Im interested in studying psychology.
/ Estoy interesado en estudiar psicologa.

Questions Which and what (Preguntas con what y con which)
Entre what y which puede haber confusin. What es normalmente "qu" y which "cul".
Cuando dudes utiliza what. Which se utiliza slo cuando se da a escoger entre dos cosas, y
what cuando son muchas.

(como es que el puede hacer eso y yo no
puedo!)
"who" (ju) (quien) = se usa para preguntar
acerca de una o ms personas.
"who" siempre es una palabra en singular
aunque represente varias personas.
Ex:
Who is that? (Quin es ese o esa?).
Who is it? (quien es?)
"who" como conector significa
"quien . . . O que . . ." Y solo se usa
con personas:

que esta all es alto).

what?".
Ex:
Why are you here? (por que estas aqu?).
R = because i want to learn to speak english (porque
yo quiero aprender a hablar ingls).
Why is he doing this to your brother? (por que esta
el haciendo eso a tu hermano?).
Why are you here? (por que estas tu aqu?).
Nota: si queremos poner una accin despus de una
preposicin, entonces dicha accin debe de ir con
"ing".
"why" como conector significa "porque. . .; Por lo
que. . .":
Ex:
That is not why i am here (eso no es por lo que yo
estoy aqu).
Thats the reason why he is rich (esa es la razn por
la que l es rico).
