B) INSTALLATION OF NERO 2015

============================
1. If you have installed a previous version of Nero 2015, install directly a new
version over the current. If this fails, uninstall the installed version (see b
etter in the comments below).
2. Install Nero 2015 Trial with the serial provided by Nero itself. If that does
not work run the Patch to remove trial marks or (for users of Windows XP/Vista/
10) install with serial 9053-0180-TLXU-8XK2-6A66-E3LW-483U-U75L. In the installa
tion options select the applications you want to install. "Nero Update" should p
referably be installed.
3. Once installed, run the Patch. Nero 2015 Trial turns into Nero 2015 Platinum.
AVCHD authoring and playback as well as MPEG-4 and BD-AV formats are now suppor
ted.
4. Install, if you like, the Content Packs and additional applications. Choose t
he custom installation and uncheck unwanted content. After, run the Patch again.
5. If, in the future, install new applications (either directly or with "Nero Co
ntrolCenter") or make updates with "Nero Update", run the Patch again.

C) IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT INSTALLATION/UNINSTALL OF NERO 2015

1. INSTALLED VERSIONS THAT ARE FUNCTIONAL
- Is it possible to recover old installations of Nero 2015. Run before t
he Patch to test. For Nero 2015 might be considered functional, all applications
should open, can't have problems with serial, "Nero ControlCenter" need to be w
orking and internet access should be free. In addition, "Nero Update" should be
preferably working. If it works and "Nero Update" is operational, you do not nee
d to remove your current installation to install a new one. Install directly a n
ew version over the current. May not work for some. Old applications can be upgr
aded to latest version with "Nero Update".
2. INSTALLED VERSIONS THAT ARE CORRUPTED
- If even after using the Patch, your current version of Nero 2015 not w
ork or the own Patch not work is because it has more problems. Note that if your
installation is corrupted it will not work fully with another patch that exists
, or any that may be released. There is also the possibility of the installation
itself not work. In this case, completely remove the installed version. To do t
his follow the steps below:
1) Uninstall all Nero's applications through Control Panel -> Pr
ograms and Features. You can use other uninstaller, as "Total Uninstall" or "Rev
o Uninstaller", but will not make much difference, because may have leftover rem
nants.
2) Now come the important part: go to "C:\Windows\Installer\" to
find the installers of Nero left over. Use the "Subject" column to organize and
find Nero's MSI files. If the column is not visible, right-click on the top bar

and select it. Then uninstall each of the remaining applications of Nero: "Nero
Core Componets", "Nero ControlCenter", "Nero Update" and others. Right-click on
the files, and then click "Uninstall".
3) Delete the folders below, if they yet exist:
- "C:\Program Files\Nero" (32-bit) or "C:\Program Files
(x86)\Nero" (64-bit);
- "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Nero" (32-bit) or "C:\P
rogram Files (x86)\Common Files\Nero" (64-bit);
- "C:\Programdata\Nero".
4) Delete the entries in the Windows registry:
- "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Nero";
- "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Nero" (32-bit) or "HKEY_L
OCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Nero" (64-bit).
- After that still remain Nero's files on your computer and entries scat
tered in the Windows registry. However the new installations will work. Old vers
ions, poorly uninstalled, cause problems for future versions. Nero does not prov
ide at his website, an updated remover, for the 2015 version.
- Note that the above procedure needs to be done only once. If Nero 2015
was installed correctly, when appear a new version try firstly install over the
installed version. If doesn't work it is necessary to uninstall just the item "
Nero 2015" through the Control Panel. Other applications and Content Pack (if in
stalled) no longer need to be uninstalled, nor folders or registry entries once
they already have been installed correctly.
3. ADDITIONAL APPLICATIONS
- Additional applications can be installed from "Nero ControlCenter" or
directly from your installer. Install them preferably after you have installed t
he main package. These applications can be installed independently even if the m
ain package is not installed.
- "Nero SoundTrax" and "Nero WaveEditor", if installed alone (without th
e presence of the main package), will only be installed correctly and therefore
will only work properly if there are no conflicts with some old installation, po
orly uninstalled. Once installed, apply the Patch.
- "Nero BackItUp", "Nero BurnRights" and "Nero CoverDesigner", if instal
led alone, don't need any patch to work.
- Older applications such as: "Nero DiscSpeed", "Nero InfoTool", "Nero D
iscCopy Gadget", "InCDReader" and "Nero SecurDisc Viewer", if installed alone, d
on't need any patch to work and do not install "Nero ControlCenter".
- Eventually, "Nero ControlCenter", may not work to download a specific
additional application. That is no problem because can be downloaded directly fr
om the links above or from Nero's website: http://www.nero.com/eng/downloads/. H
owever, after installing the application, you can use "Nero Update" to update if
a new version is released.
4. STANDALONE APPLICATIONS
- You can independently install "Nero MediaHome", "Nero Video" and "Nero
Burning Rom".
- Note that the installer of "Nero MediaHome" are very big and end up in
stalling additional applications ("Nero Blu-ray Player", minimum package of cont
ent, etc). Therefore, it is best to install it directly from the main package, b
ecause it won't make much difference. "Nero MediaHome" doesn't need any patch an
d does not install "Nero ControlCenter".
- "Nero Video" installs additionally all Content Pack, making the gigant
ic installer. Already "Nero Burning Rom" is more reduced. If you want install, u
se the serial provided by Nero itself in installation. If not work, run the Patc
h to remove trial marks and continue the installation. Once installed, apply the
Patch.
- You will only be able to install some of these applications correctly
if there are no conflicts with some old installation, poorly uninstalled.

5 OLD VERSIONS AND WEB INSTALLER

- Do not install Nero 2015 Platinum 16.0.04200 or earlier that are outda
ted. However, if you want to install, use in the installation, any valid serial
(Trial or Platinum, as 9053-0180-TLXU-8XK2-6A66-E3LW-483U-U75L). Will work with
the Patch.
- Do not install Trial versions prior to 16.0.05000 which are outdated.
However, if you really want, install with any valid serial (Trial or Platinum).
Will work with the Patch.
- Avoid the Web Installer. Has problems with some antivirus and difficul
t the installation with unwanted offers. In addition, low all content, regardles
s of the applications you select. If eventually you have to reinstall Nero 2015
again, will have to download approximately 250 MB again. The web installer is no
t necessary to have updated versions. Just use the "Nero Update". However, if yo
u really want to install, use in the installation any valid serial (Trial or Pla
tinum). Will work with the Patch.
- Always install the latest Official Trial version. Link above or direct

6. OTHER OBSERVATIONS
- The main package and additional applications of Nero 2015 can be insta
lled, each in a separate directory, including outside the C: drive. Will work wi
th the Patch.
- The internet can stay connected during installation, if you want. Afte
r applying the Patch, Nero 2015 will work. Once installed, it is not necessary t
o block any application with the firewall.
- Successive installations and updates can sometimes corrupt old shortcu
ts of Nero applications, if they are placed in a non-standard folder. In this ca
se pops up the message: "This action is only valid for products that are current
ly installed". Just copy the new shortcut created by Nero to the folder of your
choice or use the shortcuts that comes with the Patch.
- In some cases, sometimes strangers, Nero requires the computer to be r
estarted to continue an installation or function properly (even with UAC disable
d).
- If something does not work, run the Patch again. It can be executed be
fore (to remove trial marks and test older versions), during (when the installat
ion does not work because the trial marks or if Nero prompt to restart the compu
ter) or after the installation. Save the Patch and create a shortcut to it in th
e Nero folder, for future use. If even after using the Patch, does not work, it'
s probably because of some previous installation, poorly uninstalled.

D) TIPS FOR NERO 2015 (NONE IS MANDATORY)

1. If you want, the Services of "Nero Update" and "Nero BackItUp" (if it is inst
alled), can be placed in "Manual".
2. If you want, disable "NeroControlCenter" and "Nero BackItUp" (if it is instal
led) that always loads when the computer is turned on (use Autoruns).
3. If you want, disable "neroinfo.exe", "nbagent.exe" and "backitup" (if it is i
nstalled) in Scheduled Tasks (use Autoruns).
4. If you want, disable the context menu in "Windows Explorer" from "Nero Burnin
g Rom" by going to Options > Advanced Options or go to the Windows registry and
delete:

5. To disable the context menu in "Windows Explorer" from "Nero Disc To Device",
go to the Windows registry and delete:

6. To delete "Nero BurningRights" from Control Panel (Windows XP, Vista and 7) g

E) ABOUT THE PATCH

==================
1. Good for any edition of Nero 2015 (Trial, Platinum or Web Installer) and comp
atible applications (additional and standalone).
2. After applied, the Trial version works like Nero Platinum 2015.
3. Works even if the main package and additional applications are installed each
in different directory than recommended.
4. Can recover old versions of Nero 2015. If an installed version is not corrupt
ed, uninstall is not required to install a new (may not work for some).
5. Removes trial marks to allow new installations (not all operating systems).
6. Inserts all necessary serials for the main package and additional application
s.
7. Has a fix that solves the problem of Trial versions and replaces all files, w
hich make access to the server, with functional versions.
8. Allows you to make updates with "Nero Update" and directly download other app
lications with "Nero ControlCenter".
9. Tested on Windows 7 (32 and 64-bit) and Windows 8.1 (64-bit). However, it is
compatible with Windows XP, Vista and 10. The Patch was tested with Nero 2015 Tr
ial 16.0.02800 and 16.0.05000, Nero 2015 Platinum 16.0.02900 and 16.0.04200, Ner
o 2015 Web Installer 16.0.03000 and 16.0.04000 and standalone applications. Was
tested installing in different directories and with connected internet. Tested a
uthoring and playback of AVCHD and BD-AV formats.
10. The Patch has no malware or false positive. It does not access the internet.
Works even without administrative rights (UAC enabled). Can be run from a pendr
ive or any directory. This Patch was based on versions of several different auth
ors. Thanks to the serials provided by "Liikuri" and "q!DVT". This Patch only wo
rks for "Nero 2015" and compatible applications (additional and standalone).
