THE GLOBALIZATION GAP

(How the Rich Get Richer and the Poor Get Left Further Behind)

Chapter 13: A Blueprint for Sharing Opportunity

Summary and Reflection: (Self Analogy Task)

Principally, before starting off with my reflection on this book’s final chapter, will I first
resonate on its primal subject context, to which basically tackles about the expounded definition
and study onto concepts regarding the seemingly heaven and earth gap between the rich and the
poor, which then gives of the impression as though it is already improbable for the social classes
to once again attain equilibrium in their relationship in the society.

Well, the reason on how I had made some recap regarding which is for the reason that this final
chapter somehow creates a possibility that will eradicate the abnormal and unbalanced gap in the
social classes, that greed in itself is the only thing needed to be abandoned, in order for a new era
of worldwide expansion to emerge.

This chapter does not exemplify that the gap should be reversed, so that the poor becomes the
rich and the rich becomes the poor, rather, it more on aims for both parties to have an equal doze
of competitive capabilities and opportunities so that both of which will attain a higher standard
of living, therefore satisfying the true objective of globalization, that all people should benefit
from it, and not just a handful of the entire population.

Moreover, the people, particularly the presently rich individuals, must first accomplish some
innovations and reformations vital upon the construction of this new and more just era,
henceforth egocentrics and selfishness are the first things that should be abandoned or rather
compromised.

At this point of time, there really is no more reason to expound on any concept stated in the final
chapter regarding the information embedded it, for it had already been clearly elaborated by the
previous chapters, then on, the thing that should be remarked about this chapter is the hope and
possibility that it gives to the people, both for the rich and the poor, that there is still a lingering
way in order to achieve harmony yet again in the society we are living in, in order to make
everyone better off.

In any case, even if the rich men resists and commits whatever means possible so that this
possibility may not be placed into reality, still, the time will come that if the gap between the
poor and rich grows inconsiderably far, then even they who are wealthy right now will not be
exempted from the devastating effect that will come upon the world we live in.
It is still a clear fact after all, that without the poor, the rich men will also not exist, for it is the
poor that reinforces the demands that the rich needs in order to thrive.
Henceforth, given that fact of mutual sustainability, must both parties work together and in
synchronization, so that both of them may be able to grow together in retrospect with the
continuous modernization that globalization continually requires from us.

If we want to be successful, we must first develop the virtues of humility and generosity towards
our fellowmen.

Just keep in mind that even the greatest and wealthiest man in the world cannot make any
difference by himself alone.

We need to care and tend for each other if we want to survive.
