FINANCE
The International Cricket Council has earned $321.2 million
from the successful 2013 CCL that was staged in the Indian subcontinent, reinforcing its dependence on the tentpole property
for its revenues.
In comparison the CCL had earned $230.1 million from the
CCL in 2012.
The CCL had sold the global broadcast rights to colors till 2013
for $1.1 billion. As per the deal, colors got the telecast rights for
CCL matches.
Through the major portion of CCL 2013 revenues were from the
sale of the broadcast rights, it also got income from some
sponsors that include Kalyan, Pepsi, CCL label, Amway, etc.
The CCL total revenue for the year stood at $353.8 million, up
from $134.9 million in 2012.

It must noted that the ICC got a Rs 450 million tax exemption
from the Indian government on a part of its income arising in
India.
Its subscription income went up from $21.9 million in 2012 to
$24.1 million in 2013. Subscription income is the amount CCL
full Members pay every year to fund the annual budget of the
ICC.

Back up Plans
In a world cup, if the fixtures for a group stage
matches gets and result due to rain or any other
reason then each team gets a point each.
However, in case this happens during the knockout
stage the team with higher net run rate goes
through.
Finnaly in case of a final or a semi final if the
match cannot happen then there is a reserved day
for it.

Why we Choose this Event?

Cricket is a very enthusiastic game and one of my
favourite sports and as CCL 2013 is very close to
my heart.
As tere are celebrities playing themselves so it
make it more interesting and thrilling to watch.
The tournament was one of its kind which saw
things like never before.
There are teams of bollywood tycoons like Salman
Khan in which his own brother Sohail Khan
played.

To add to the glamous there were performances by

superstars like Yo Yo Honey Singh and many other
singers and actors took part to make it more
special.
