Oferta:
trminos financieros, Carmenza Avellaneda, editorial McGraw Hill, 1996)
Offer:
This term can be defined as the number of units of a particular good or service that
sellers are willing to sell at certain prices. Obviously, the behavior of the bidders is
different buyers. A high price means an incentive to produce and sell more of that
good. A further increase in the price, the higher the quantity supplied.
2. Pasivo:
direccin, Ramn Tamames, Santiago Gallego, 1994 , Espaa)
Liabilities:
In general, all that is burdensome or implied charges for a community. / / In
accounting, and active opposition, the right side balance where items of capital of
the company are noted, reservations, the outstanding benefit of distribution and
other obligations to third parties
3. Patrimonio:
Carmenza Avellaneda, editorial McGraw Hill, 1996)
Heritage:
Set of assets, rights and obligations of a natural or legal, private or public person.
Heritage of a company is defined as or equity financing assets from direct input
from partners and issuing shares. It consists of the paid capital for reserves in prior
periods, utilities period, surpluses and, sometimes, by the valuation of assets, all of
which must be in the active counterpart.
4. Prdidas netas:
financieros, Carmenza Avellaneda, editorial McGraw Hill, 1996)
Net losses:
If a company suffers a loss, this means that the revenue generated in the
statement of profit and loss (results) were lower than the expenses (costs and
expenses) and therefore had to seek other sources of funds to cover quantified the
shortfall in the loss.
( Initial Investment )
( net annual cash profit )
If the net cash benefit differs between periods, the calculation is performed by
determining the amount accumulated number of periods required to recover the
investment . Using this method means that the investment proposals will be
accepted or rejected on the basis of your esteemed company to return to the initial
cash outlay speed. If investment proposals considered are mutually exclusive, the
alternative with the shorter recovery period and all others are rejected will be
accepted. Jan l case of independent investment all propositions that return the
initial outlay within a period determined by the administration be accepted. This
system has the following disadvantages :
1. Ignore the subsequent recovery period profits by subordinating acceptance to a
factor of liquidity rather than profitability.
2. Not considered the value of money over time , assigning equal importance to
the funds generated the first year, with the year n
3. Perpetuidad:
Una perpetuidad es una serie infinita es una anualidad con una duracin infinita;
manera:
VPPMT = PMT / i, siendo
2007)
Perpetual:
A perpetual is an infinite series is an annuity with an infinite lifetime; It is an annuity
that never ceases to give its holder an amount at the end of each year.
Then a perpetual is defined as an infinite series of payments in some way
constant, PMT and its present value may be expressed as follows:
VPPMT = PMT / i, being
VPPMT the present value of a perpetual annuity
PMT perpetual annuity
I the interest rate
6. Rentabilidad:
(Diccionario Espasa
Economa y negocios, Arthur Andersen , espasa, Espaa 1997)
Profitability:
Ability to produce profits or income. Relationship between the amount of fixed
investment and benefits obtained after deducting commissions and Taxs.
Profitability, unlike magnitudes such as income or profit, is always expressed in
relative terms.

Actual interest. ( Diccionario bilinge de trminos
financieros, Carmenza Avellaneda, Mc Graw Hill , Colombia, 1996)
Actual interest
Indicate the annual interest rate (or longer period), which is actually equivalent to a
certain periodic rate over a shorter period. Measure the real, not nominal, cost of
money in a reference period. Its formula is
r t
i=(1+ ) 1
t
i = effective interest rate, r = nominal interest rate, t = number of compounding
periods
financieros, Carmenza Avellaneda, Mc Graw Hill , Colombia, 1996)
Nominal Interest
As its name suggests, it is only a reference and is characterized by the interest
shown, the application period or composition and a reference period (usually a
year)

BNt is the net benefit flow at time t. Equivalent to a net present value (NPV) of zero
equation that determines the rate that allows the updated flow is zero. The rate
thus calculated is compared with the rate of cost of capital of the company. If the
IRR is equal to or greater than this, the project should be accepted, and if less,
must be rejected. If you add inflation expectations, the IRR is modified, as
considerations which led to treat the concepts of nominal and real interest rates if a
project IRR function is evaluated arise. This is because with the TIR inflation is not
a real measure of the profitability of a project. Applying the inflation effect, separate
from the performance factor, the equation becomes:
BN t / ( 1+ R )t ( 1+ X )tI o=0
t =1
X equals the discount factor for the cash flows of inflation. Since the objective of
the IRR is to be compared with a rate cut is presented as an alternative to
calculate the nominal rate (no inflation), and compared with a rate cut increased by
the inflation factor.
known as the minimum attractive rate of return ( MARR ) . Two levels of MARR are
defined:
a. In economies with medium or high levels of inflation, the MARR should
contemplate that level and the values of credit from financial institutions for
projects.
b . In economies with low or zero inflation the accepted value of MARR to the level
of normal risk of commercial or industrial business is in the range of 8 % to 12%. If
irrigation is perceived in the investment activity is higher than normal, the MARR is
greater .
12. Tasacin:
