Social Entrepreneur Gayathri Vasudevan Wins Entrepreneur of the Year

Gayathri Vasudevan, CEO of LabourNet services is recognised for her dedicated work in
the field of vocational education and skill development
Bangalore, India, July 31, 2015: Ms. Gayathri Vasudevan, Co-Founder and CEO of LabourNet
Services is awarded as Entrepreneur of the Year in Service Business Trainings at the 5th
Annual Convention for Entrepreneur and Start-up organised by Franchise India in association with USbased Entrepreneur World Magazine. Franchise India presents the country's most prestigious awards
in the Entrepreneur arena. The awards aim to recognize and felicitate Achievers, Innovators and
Suppliers, who have contributed significantly towards the development of Entrepreneurship in India.
Ms. Vasudevan has been passionately working towards making vocational education available to the
youth, irrespective of their economic and social background and this award comes as acknowledgment
for her dedicated service in this field. Gayathri Vasudevan on receiving this award is appreciative and

Ms. Gayathri is instrumental in structuring LabourNet Services into a leading social enterprise, by
anchoring on values of growth, transparency, social protection and inclusion. LabourNet has won
numerous awards in the last few years for its model and contribution to society. Ms. Vasudevan has
been extensively involved in policy issues & community mobilizations relating to Livelihoods, Social
Security and the Informal Economy. She holds a Doctorate in development studies and more than 17
years of experience in both national and international organizations. Before joining LabourNet, she held
senior positions at International Labour Organization and other multilateral organizations for eight years
such as UNICEF, UNDP, UNESCO, NORAD etc.
