Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India is

implementing Prime Minister's Special Scholarship Scheme
from the year 2011 for the students belonging to J&K who, after
passing Class XII or equivalent examination from J&K secure
admission in institutions located outside the State of J&K. An InterMinisterial Committee (IMC), of MHRD on Special Scholarship
Scheme, chaired by Secretary (Higher Education), decided to
create TWO supernumerary seats across all the institutes/colleges
for this purpose. Accordingly, UGC and AICTE respectively issued
instructions for creation of TWO Supernumerary Seats in
institutions which are recognized under Section 2(f) and 12(B) and
AICTE approved institutions respectively.

For the Academic Year 2015-16, AICTE is conducting Counseling

w.e.f. 23rd July 2015 simultaneously at Srinagar and Jammu. The
students have been offered provisional admission letters by the
counseling centres.

All the Institutions to which such students are allotted seats

through the Centralized Counseling, are hereby informed that:
1. The Student admitted is directed to report within ONE WEEK
from the date as listed in the Provisional Offer Letter issued to
the student.
2. All the Original documents should be verified by the institute.

students admitted under the scheme will be paid to the student
through DBT by MHRD, Government of India, through AICTE

4. All such candidates shall submit claims for tuition fee, hostel fee
and other incidental charges on AICTE Portal.

All the Heads of the institutions are requested to facilitate
